As you said, the Emperor is majorly one piece of plastic. It's all rotocast, which is why the head can't move. I'm not entirely sure about the back of the dome, as that is a different thpe of plastic, so I assume it's in some way glued in. But it's basically: base, dome front, dome back, everything else.
I should have noticed it really as upon closer inspection a couple of the spheres have air bubble in them, so that combined with the weight makes it obvious now I think about it. However I think the dome being glued in is the most likely scenario! However whilst the head of Davros doesn't move side to side it is a separate piece and feels like with some working it would come off, which makes me wonder perhaps there is a screw under there to take the body out. Hopefully at some point I'll get another to find out.
I always wondered why the Davros is so heavy... I always thought the figure inside had a weight on the bottom to stop it from falling over or something.
Some say CaptainJimiPie is still troubled of his encounter with the Davros Emperor figure....anyway, they are such cool figures! It's just such a shame they are so overpriced. But luckily I got a Renegade Dalek for my Birthday, and I already have an The eleven doctors figure set 7th Doctor go with him, but I feel the need for an Imperial Dalek to complete the trio.
I'm not troubled by it haha if anything I'm more determined to fit out how it comes apart, but I need another before I can do that. And to be fair its not that they're overpriced, they're just rare these days, the same with the classic TARDIS's, that's just what they're worth these days.
It all depends on how easily I can get hold of a spare, however I would hazard a guess it's been made in the same way this one was meaning there's probably not a huge amount more to take apart
I think it's very unlikely we'll see a re-release of it anytime soon, simply because of the cost of producing something that's a solid piece of plastic, and /or the cost of updating the tooling to make it cheaper to produce
@@CaptainJimiPie sadly yeah, it does seem unlikely. Although in future we may see a rerelease further along, if the line continues getting more popular and producing more profit
Well, the fact that the Davros figure is just a big lump of solid plastic explains why the set was so expensive even at the time for a two pack. Blimey, that was not what I was expecting at all. It's very bizarre. I wonder what made CO decide to do that. 🤣
It's most likely because it was of how different the shape of the base in in regards to the other half of the dome it sits on, at the time it was probably just the best way of doing it
@@CaptainJimiPie True, that does make sense. That certainly did surprise me, but was certainly interesting. Well you know what they say, we learn new things everyday, don't we? 👍
The Destroyed Imperial is a whole separate sculpt to a normal Dalek due to not having a set of neck rings and dome, and Davros is most likely one whole piece due to needing it to be completely different in design to a normal Dalek, so they are both completely new sculpts, but it's just odd the way it's been done
Actually it's probably cheap to make it this way when you think about it because it's just one solid piece of plastic, whereas a stander Dalek body is mad of of lots of smaller pieces which then have to be assembled.

Yes, it would certainly be an interesting find! I'd offer to dissssemble mine, but I also find them to be difficult to come by!
Well hopefully if more people start supporting my Patreon then the funds from that can help go towards things like that!

I just figured it was the general weight of it, as compared to other Daleks it didn't feel overly heavy to me

Uploaded on my birthday!! :D This is an interesting thing
Happy birthday!
Thank you Jimi (If its ok to call you that lol)
Love this one could you dismantle rusty because I have noticed that there is a wire connected from a sphere to the dome
Sorry, I'm afraid I don't have any Rusty figures to spare to take apart
Hey now there’s a new davros coming out would u be interested in taking that figure apart (the new one)
It all depends on how easily I can get hold of a spare, however I would hazard a guess it's been made in the same way this one was meaning there's probably not a huge amount more to take apart
Now this is years later and I'm not sure if you've solved this but it seems like the davros bit is glued into the base. (the black part of it)
I believe so yes, I hadn't "solved it" as much as come to that conclusion, the lower part of his body is glue in as in the back half of the dome
@@CaptainJimiPie I hope they rerelease it purely so I can see what makes it... tick?

It's not impossible but I think we're quite a long way off that happening for the time being

Indeed!
I was so confused with that Davros. I think the Dalek is normal because it's a Dalek and it's like maybe a re use? If you know what I mean

you would of thourt that they kept it holo to save cost but no =/

Get on it
Sorry I don't understand?
