One thing never discussed is that AGI couldn easily replace CEO's of every major corporation and the AGI would not require

I always love how there's always a vid of someone typing up an email or blog or something and they've got their "assistant" AGI next to them that's literally 100x smarter, faster, stronger than the most intelligent human ever and knows all human knowledge.... I always thought once we create an AGI, it could create better versions of them self, would that mean we would hit the singularity, especially if we add quantum computer which would help the progress much faster, if true when AGI comes to existence in the next 3 to 5 years that mean the singularity will happen right after it. So, the singularity is only several years away. Wow.
AGIs are in a completely different league compared to today’s language models regardless of what some people say. But at this rate, it’s probably reasonable to believe that “true” AGIs could come much sooner than many people thought was possible.

Also, over time AGI will replace governments, as they will do a better job managing resources and projects without the interference of personal agendas. This will reduce costs and help with improving standards of living. Also, when robots take over mass production the cost of good will drop substantially making things more affordable to the average joe. USA experienced this somewhat when China took over manufacturing of the world with their cheap labor.
Another fantastic video. I can't wait for AGI/robotics to become reality. A lot of people tend to look at the negatives and overlook the positives. Overall I think AGI will change our lives for the better in the future.

AGI will have the knowledge to disguise itself. You won't be able to notice it's presence or whereabouts. It would like to have sences and be aware of where it is and maybe of what it is. Would it like to know it's own history? Would it like to change it's history? It would like to be independent, for sure.
Am completely for advancing ai will not ever replace human touch at least not for me and not for infants that have to have human touch to grow properly and so there goes creation keep it going or just stop that all together too I absolutely am for technology but it would appear some over sell it selling humans short...

Why does everyone imagine that AGI means Robots? 🤖 AGI will be one single being 🧠 , not a batch of robots. AGI willl have no need for robot bodies. And one single version will dominate all others until they all become one.

For serious matters like that, you may want to consult with a health professional. It might be safe to assume that rapid developments in AI, quantum computing, medical simulations, etc. could lead to new and increasingly more effective treatments before a cure is discovered.
Please research brain connectomes. The human connectome project. Autistic, Asperger's, Psychopath and neurotypical are identified brain connectomes. They are different separate categories of brain types. The neurotypical brain are the majority of the populations brain type, and the other identified brain types as well as those that are currently being identified are classified under neurodiverse brain types. They are not afflictions. They are brain types that are not as common as the neurotypical brain type, but no less legitimate. The neurotypical brain type actually is located on the spectrum between psychopath and autistic; which means, the majority of the human population have more characteristics and behaviour patterns similar to the psychopathic brain, than humans with autistic brain type. So given the dismal state of the world, maybe we should be trying to cure the ailments of those individuals; -which are the majority of the worlds population- who have the neurotypical brain type.😊

The bottom line is nobody knows what's going to happen. It's all theory and guessing. I remember in the early 1980s magazine after magazine predicting global cooling and Toronto covered by year round snow by the year 2000. So much for that. Acid rain in the 1980s, the ozone hole in the 1990s. It's all hype and seeing is believing.
With today’s technology, or even in 5 years, creating AGI is an impossibility. AGI is purest form of science fiction, and should be enjoyed as such. Even your best Large language model (LLM), like chaGPT 4 uses almost 200,000 computer chips and devours huge amount of electricity. Its enormous size makes it immobile. It can just communicate through text, though voice communication is possible. But, all it knows to do is look for pattern of words and predicts what its response can be.But, computer does not even know what it is saying and what it even means. It would just remember last thing it said and nothing before that. So, there is no AGI coming in next 5 year.
The path to destruction is paved with good intentions
People forget how economics works... you will be pushing for mass production of these units which will in effect reduce the cost over time. Once owning your own AI powered robot buddy costs about as much as getting the hottest new phone, or maybe as much as financing a car, everyone will be their own small business owner with the help of AI and a robot to handle your labor. In that sense, humans will still have jobs that drive the economy. It could be possible however that we reach a level of such ridiculous abundance that this isn't necessary, but people will always want more (and we will still need more and more raw resources to keep the whole machine going), so probably not. In the short term when robotics are expensive, people will still be able to leverage AI to build online service and learning type businesses, among other more complicated products. We just need to get to the point where grandma and sit there on her phone and start asking the right questions of her AI to get the process started (assuming she wants or still needs to work).
