This is a great looking brass 4-8-4 model, the Great Northern rr added a unique appearance to their steam engines by having their boilers painted green. The pipe system at the front of the boiler also adds to interesting visible characteristics of this steam locomotive, Tom.

The plastics internal gears have a problem with breaking in this model, however the steel firebox should be a lighter shade of steel,
In real life 2575’s tender still exists as Sp&s 700’s auxiliary tender,
Even though the first S2 made, 2577 is actually pictured in the original builder’s photo from Baldwin
2584 is the last one, owned by Warren Buffet ultimately, and sits sadly idle in Havre Montana halfway in between Chicago and Seattle on the Empire Builder route that the engine used to run

Also a quick one "A Great Northern Baldwin 2-8-2 #3059 rests in railroad park in Williston ND." on my channel. Your model looks a lot better lol.

Sure is a good looker. I wish there were smokers offered for their n scales. Looks great going down the track. Mr. B.

Don‘t believe it will happen. Smoke in steam engines had been offered before by German (yes, that nasty bunch again) manufacturers, but it never caught on because the steam fluid residue contaminates the rails, leading to slippage and various other issues.

I know this comment was a while ago, but hopefully you're still active and you've heard the good news. Pretty much all the new big N scale steamers are going to have smoke. The Reading T1s that come out next month and the FEF and 3751s that'll probably be announced officially soon.

Hi guys. What a magnificent beast. The detailing is really stunning. I love the green and red livery. Do you purchase your locos in your country or do you buy from the States? That rack of wooden box cars was a perfect combination for this loco. Beautiful. Was the opening shot part of a recently modeled section of your layout? Thanks for sharing. See ya next time.

Thanks I agree with you. We buy in the US. The wooden car are walthers cheap cars and Nico did the weathering. The opening scene is the last we built, maybe 2 months ago.

Beautiful engine. Great purchase, guys. I filmed it's little brother 2-8-2 in North Dakota last year. Take a look at my video "Steam engine in Williston" and You will enjoy it!
