The "HERCULES MULLIGAN!" part has always been one of my favorite parts of the musical.

They performed this at the 2016 Tony Awards. Shortly after midnight of the date of the Tony Awards was the mass shooting at an Orlando night club where 50 people were killed. If you put up their performance for the Tony Awards there is something that the cast changed...they didn't use the prop muskets because of the mass murder. They had to change their choreography which is very difficult to do and it had to be done with limited time. Every musical theater nominee performed a part of their show and everyone is allowed to rehearse for the award show in the evening. They didn't have the stage to spend hours rehearsing the new choreography...they had to share the stage with other shows who rehearsed. At the very end of the Tony Awards performance, LMM has tears in his eyes...the world literally turned upside down that same day. It was a very classy way to show their respect for the victims and their families. I can't watch this now the same way as I watched it before I found out about the shooting. But for me personally, I'm terminally ill and my world turned upside down and I'm hardly the only one. That line takes on a whole new meaning.

Ooh yay! I was waiting for this specific one. It's one of my favourites in terms of music and dance choreography and just overall atmosphere. It's just so hype it makes me feel extra energetic watching it. Glad to see you guys' reaction as usual.

When you asked about Canada's involvement, you were involved, kinda. The disastrous campaign Washington references in History Has Its Eyes on You was a friendly fire incident in the Forbes Expedition during the French and Indian War, which war he himself had had a part in precipitating (in the events leading to the Battle of Fort Necessity that basically kicked it off). Canada also played a part in that war, which was the first domino in a chain of events that ultimately led to the American Revolution.
Also, much later, some of the American Tories who fought for the losing side in the Revolution were driven from their homes and ended up in Canada and were given land grants by the British crown in recognition of their loyalty.
A friend of mine in California is descended from one of those Tories (through her Canadian mom). We tend to think of the Founding Fathers as patriots, but I cannot forget that my only known Revolutionary War ancestor (a Bohemian immigrant) swore an oath of loyalty to the King upon arrival and was forsworn within three years when he joined up on the American side (he fought in the "German Battalion", so called because it had so many German-speaking immigrants within it). In a revolution, patriotism is one of those words generally defined by the winning side.

My wife's ancestors spent the revolution in a concentration camp. They'd arrived from Germany a few years earlier, and part of coming to America was signing a loyalty oath to King George. While sympathetic to the cause, they refused to dishonor their oath, and were therefore The Enemy.
One of my ancestors fled New Jersey with the family silver (and a maid) to Canada, because he was a Royalist.
Another of my ancestor's signatures is on the Declaration.
History is as complicated as the human beings that make it happen.

Early on in the musical, Aaron Burr also mentions serving _"under General Montgomery before he took a bullet in the neck in Quebec"_ - the failed revolutionary invasion of Quebec was one of the earliest campaigns in the war, having taken place in 1775(!), over half a year before the Declaration of Independence was even signed.

canada was at the time of the revolution a more border type place with Toronto being where many former slaves and english ended up. The war really divided the US and the English sympathizers were wholeheartedly driven out to canada. They managed to start new lives but it took them years as they were given gardening tools, saws, maybe a gun, and heavy clothing when they were driven out. They got through ok though and they established a really nice place.

No offence but I’m starting to hate you, all of your Hamilton videos are pre-recorded and you’re just waiting to upload them, yet you have dragged out uploading them so much so that in the past year you’ve only posted two videos that are not Hamilton related and yet your Hamilton videos are months apart, everyone else that does Hamilton videos usually uploads one a day or one a week or something but you upload them so far apart despite you having already recorded all of the videos, i’m sure you have your reasons and I know if you didn’t want to you could just not put them on TH-cam but I still don’t series and for them to be so far apart except for the fact that you’re just milk in the Hamilton fandom for every single thing that they worth trying to keep them on your channel for as long as humanly possible
