I’m pretty sure it was because she had already known before hand. So the only real reason she was mad was because he told Litterally everyone. After from reading Ron Chernow's book, sitting down to write a project on making a concept album, going to pitch it to the White House, take more than a year to do one of the title songs, spend several years writing an entire musical about a little-known founding father, which seemed a too far-fetched idea to work, perform it off-Broadway, then get the musical taken to Broadway, release a Grammy winning musical album, earn millions of dollars in profits, The Tony, The Pulitzer and another ton of prizes, the impossible thing would be that no emotional bond had been generated.
