I purchased the Ninja FD401 LP3 Foodi 12-in-1 (Same 12 in 1 @StevenSteph recommend in the links of this video) and I love it for cooking steaks. I mix chuck steaks like the ones in this video and ribeye steaks and the Ninja Foodi does an amazing job on both. I'm so glad I came across you videos! I was grilling twice a day or reverse searing with the oven and skillet in the winter or when it is raining. Honestly because the Ninja Foodi works so well, I may start moving more toward the chuck steaks being my primary meal.
I bit the bullet and bought the 60lb box of chuck rolls from Costco. I have been setting the steaks on a tray overnight salted in the fridge. The tougher cuts I slice up thin and macerate them with a stainless steel tenderizer. This comes out amazing and only takes about four minutes in the air fryer.
I went to Costco a few days ago. They had the chuck roll for $4.19 a pound. I showed them a pic of the label on your box. I just did what Steph did. Cut them into steaks. Cut some up for stew meat and saved some for my dog. I have the same air fryer as the purple one from QVC that Steph showed in a previous video. I preheat on 400 for 5minutes then put in 5 minutes. Then turn over for 5 more minutes. Came out great. I was a little worried about it but it is very good steak!

Thank you so much for this video! I was wondering how y’all cut up your meat and now I know. I got a couple of chuck rolls in my fridge and I watched some videos on an actual butcher cutting up the chuck roll but that seems to complicated for a newbie so I’m definitely gonna just slice it up like y’all do so thanks for the tips! Been carnivore for 8 months and it’s the best way to eat!
You guys are amazing!! Thank you so much for doing this video, it's super helpful for me. I like that you both find enjoyment in all of the different parts and doneness, it reminds me to be more open, and not such a Steak Snob 😂. Thank you!

@@StevenSteph After I watched the other video, I took out two small chuck roasts from the last of our 1/2 cow. I trimmed them and cut them into 4 medium steaks. I have watched quite a few videos on breaking down a chuck roll. And it represents quite a process. I always wondered, "Why not simply cut it into steaks?" Then StevenSteph came along and said, "Watch!" Inspiring!
You guys have been so informative it has really helped a lot of people like me. Thanks! You’ve probably been ask this but where do you get them , what are they called. And how do you do them eggs! Thanks
They have good videos on buying the Chuck rolls, processing them, and packaging them for freezing. They also had a good video for the eggs. I don't have the links handy but you can search their channel.
Went to Costco last week to get some skirt, flap or flank steak, what ever they had for the $30 for 3lb. price range and they raised all the prices to $50. Might as well buy the good cuts.
@@jamielivingston7765 I can't afford to drop hundreds of dollars a month on steaks. And I just don't have the freezer room to buy a roll either. This BS economy and inflation is taking a toll.
OMG Ninja Air Fryer Chuck steaks! I just made them, Love them. I am like you I can eat them well medium or medium but i am going to have to practice with the time doing them for my husband, he likes them med rare. But game changer making them like this top rack. Love the crispy parts and juicy inside. I was pressure cooking the whole thing big chunks and it was coming out to dry. Thank you so much!
I'm probably going to give the chuck roll another try. The last one I got from Costco had quite a bit of gristle running through it. The only way to cook it to make it tender was pressure cooking it in Instantpot. I do love the ribeyes but almost 3x the cost of chuck here in Hawaii. My oven does have an airfry feature that I need to try out. Enjoy your vids!
Same here. If you cook at 180F in the air fryer for about 30 minutes(Until steak is 100F), then 400 for a few minutes(110F) flip and take out at 120F(Ends up medium rare after resting). Tender like a roast just takes longer.
These look wonderful! Thanks for his video. I’m pretty much all carnivore, but I do enjoy chicken, pork and seafood. But beef, that’s on a whole different level.

I just got my ninja foodi in the mail. Did you remove a piece from the inside of the lid? Mine has a non-stick-looking plate/cover over the hearing element. I know Steph tries to avoid non-stick materials, so in wondering if she might have removed it.
I came across a huge chunk of steak when i was in Germany, 4.2 kilos for 50 euros. I couldn't take it ( not enough musclepower ;)) but i definately call on the butcher at Combi and ask for it next time!
Your videos are so helpful. Thank you for taking the time! I am really interested what internal temp yours steaks get to after the roughly 14 minute cooking time in your air fryer? If you wouldn't mind poking one of them with a meat thermometer after it cooks, and sharing the temp, I would really appreciate it, thank you! Until I have the funds to save up for an air fryer, I am trying to reproduce the same by doing a reverse sear with my oven and cast iron pan. Thank you!
Have you ever tried air frying them from frozen? mikhaila peterson does this. I think she puts them in the air fryer at 360 for 18 minutes (9 minutes each side) and she says they cook perfectly. That might save you the minor inconveniece of thawing them overnight.
