@@cameronbosch1213 port situation is normal for laptops these days. Use the included dongle if you need it. This processor outpaces the M1 and for that the headphone jack (that I haven't used in 10 years) can be sacrificed. Well imo that is.
Hi Ben, Which one is better in general ( gaming, video editing, graphic design and 3d modeling.....) 1- ASUS ROG G15 AAA ( R9 5980HX / RX 6800M)..... 1100$ 2 - GIGABYTE AORUS 5 SE4 ( I7-12700H / RTX 3070 130W)..... 1150$
I am a Dell product fan and this new XPS 13 is impressive. I am currently looking for a 13-inch (a 14-inch could be an option) with an Intel CPU (I would like to recharge it via an external monitor). With or without a dedicated GPU. Do you plan a comparison between some of the best 13-inch laptops for productivity like Motion and light 3d stuff? Thanks
0:23 "The perfect graphic design, photography, digital artist laptop" - with just 16GB of RAM and most importantly, no discrete GPU at all? How can I get some of the stuff you seem to be smoking these days, Ben?
In the UK, this competes with the MB Pro 14 M1 rather than the MB Air. The XPS 13 Plus with i7/16GB/512GB/OLED is £1669, about what you can get the MB Pro 14 for. I think the new XPS 13 competes with the MB Air M2, as the XPS 13 with 512GB/8GB/low-power 12th-gen is £1179, around what you can get the base MB Air M2 for. 99% of the core consumer will not want to upgrade their SSD. I know no one that would ever do that, and even as a techie, I would not, so that point is pretty moot for the vast majority. If you can get 15hrs battery life, then you are a magician, 5-6 hours on the OLED. The XPS 13 is best for battery life. No AMD is a big miss, and Intel and Dell are clearly working on cahoots. Too expensive when compared with other W11 ultrabooks and really fro bragging rights.
The neatness of XPS 13 Plus exceeds my expectations especially on its touchpad... man that's so clean look laptop... it is on another level...
It really is something special! It was so fun to review and test out!
@@cameronbosch1213 well it's also depends on the user who likes or dislikes designs like that

@@cameronbosch1213 I have a M1 MacBook and it has two USB-C ports and they are both on the same side… which is way worse.
Wish there are more ports, maybe they’ll add more in the following years? Can’t imagine having so few ports and needle a dongle being preferred
love your video reviews, i hope to see more

Will this laptop work for SolidWorks or 3D apps such as Simio? I am an IE looking to purchase a resistance laptop for work.

It is not sponsored per se, but there are affiliate links, so more of an overview (ad) than a review.
@@andyH_England That explains it. I mostly like reviews that I can take at face value though - so....

I prefere the Lenovo Yoga 7 Oled 6800u 680M and 32GB RAM. Maybe even the Z13 Oled 32GB, but it's 3000€ while Yoga is 2000€.
Yeah! There are some great laptops but they can get expensive.
@Ben G Kaiser Do you think this dell XPS 13 plus could run Solidworks????
