The grey and grey/black on my right passenger side,
Left driver side there is no grey & grey/black but it does have white & white/black.
    2018 C300 USDM.
Idk but seems like they give the factory workers a mix of colors and say “yeah whichever set of colors is fine have fun with it” cause online says a bunch of other colors while there are none with those colors in the loom.
😩 ima risk it for biscuit and go with the white & white/black on the driver side cause only one that seems right.
Right side I did the grey & grey/black tapped with the speaker wires. Trying to install LOC (LC2i Pro) with an amp and sub set up as I type this 😩

Thanks. I ran a 12v directly from battery back and have remote and a ground etc. My problem is i shaved the grey and grey black wires to attach 2 wires which give me a red and black RCA for my sub. After doing this my subs powered on and worked but they are working very low no mattter how high i turn them up they are not booming like they should. Any ideas?

I’m running a 0 gauge power wire to my 2500 wts amp do you think it’s okay to tap into the distribution panel ?

I will check the car when it comes back from body shop . I know for sure it was a wire in the trunk I think it was on factory amp.

Remote wire was sourced from fuse box in the trunk. A checked voltage on the fuses, found one that shut off with the key out and attached a fuse tap .

All of the videos that I've watched recommend taking your power source directly from the battery but you chose not to do that. Is that going to cause a problem in the future? I also did not see the recommended fuse that goes to your amplifier where's that at? By the way thank you for the video. Very helpful.

2+ years later and no issues with the power running from the distribution point. The Amp is 800 watts so my way is good for me and my intended use , still running strong. If you are planning on rattling your car with 2000 watts or more I would run a dedicated cable from the battery. If the cable you are running to your Amp is bigger gauge then the factory cable thru the firewall you might be asking for trouble. Fuse is recommended by your Amp manufacturer, I would follow that. Mine I believe was 60 Amp and recommended by Kicker along with the gauge of cable which was the same as factory.

What do you plan on doing for voice? I’m thinking of fiberglassing pods and adding 2 6.5 and a super tweet

Its my wife's car. I installed two 10" subs and a amp to power. I personally prefer peace and quiet when I drive.

Where did u tap into the rear speaker wires and are they the same for the 2021 glc300? I heard they have same system

    • @82mrebarnas

I tapped into the rear door speakers. You have to pull off the rear seats to be able to remove the trim on the bottom by carpet. These allowed me to get behind the trim on door pillar. I do not remember the colors ( purple on one side and green on the other I think )google can answer, but to make it easier positive and negative speaker wires are twisted together in the harness while other wires are not.

I've googled the wire colors and have come up with nothing for 2021 glc 300 , the wires coming out of the rear door have 2 options grey and grey/black and grey/yellow amd grey/black those r the only 2 twisted wires coming from my rear door speakers I tried to tap the grey and grey/black and it did not work so I will try the other 2 but if that doesn't work I have no clue where to get my signal for my amp , there is no diagram at all for my vehicle

      @@HA-ql7zc violet, violet/black
Green, green/black. Are rear speakers wire colors in rear doors. If your car has a premium sound option then u will have a factory amp and color might change, might want to locate amp and speaker output should be twisted together for individual speakers

On the passenger side behind carpet is the factory amp. I spliced into a acc 12+wire. Can be located with voltmeter

Any tips on removing the trim and rear seats?

    • @82mrebarnas
      @82mrebarnas  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Rear seats were eassier then expected. Pull up on both sides to unlatch on driver and passanger side, when u have the seat at a angle push back to unhook.
U need to pull the gasket up on the bottom and just pull the trim up by hand . U can see metal clips so pull in those areas. Once u pull one off u will see how east it is

@@82mrebarnas Thank you for the reply. Have to run some wiring harness for airlift install so i'm planning how and where to hook up wires. Thanks to your video, I won't have to run the power through the firewall and into the engine bay!
