    Im glad I wasnt the only one noticing use of the incorrect coolant chemistry...
    It would be nice if this video were rerecorded using the correct coolant, or some text in the video at that moment to let the uninitiated know that the green coolant is incorrect

    You can do all of this without removing intake or radiator support. Un bolt and pull the fan shroud straight up.

    not all F series us a "factory Ford tool" for transmission connections. Some use a horrible compression type nut.

    This is a great DIY vid and covers all you need to know to remove and install this radiator. I was able to do it without removing intercooler or loosening intercooler tube clamps. You can get a plastic tool to release the transmission tubes on Amazon for a few bucks. A good tip is to remove the transmission hoses from their mounting clamps on the frame so you can wiggle them around enough to release the tubes.

      Not all F series are factory equipped with the quick disconnect. some use a horrible compression type nut

    Does it take more coolant since it's bigger? If so how much exact

    • @mishimoto
      @mishimoto  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      With the radiator installed the system will take 7.76 gallons to fill.

    What is the name of that tool that you’re using to lift up the clips

      We're using a pop-clip removal tool. You can find similar tools online: www.amazon.com/Approved-Automotive-Plier-Fastener-Remover/dp/B01LOXUVLO/ref=asc_df_B01LOXUVLO/

    Good video, but i strongly reccommend people using GOLD coolant in there ford trucks, the green coolant from heat and pressure turns into a jello type substance, look at all the ambulance issues ford had in 03-05, i have personaly had to replace an oil cooler, t-stat and flush the system 3 times to get all the shit out of there... and there seriously was CHUNK's of this stuff

      I use Cat ELC. Much better alternative to Gold.

    Why is he removing the intake....

      While you could probably do the install without removing it, it doesn't take much to remove and give you more room to work in the engine bay.

    You have great products.but when it comes to 6.0l rad fluid the only fluid that should go into the rad is premium gold rad fluid. using any other rad fluid will kill the oil cooler ..the whole reason ford got sued and the 6.0l got a bad name ....but great product you have .....

      Or CAT ELC.
