Football every day would be too much. The secret sauce to the NFL season is the appointment viewing on Sundays. The sprinkles on Mondays, Thursdays, and Holidays draw big numbers because it always feels special. The NBA is every night, and that reduces the must-see aspect of the game, not to mention the 84-game schedule. Thankfully, the NFLPA will never allow football to be played every day on a regular basis.

You can also have two of the teams play on the previous Thursday Night game and then two of the teams play the Thursday Night game the week after Christmas. they *have* consistently taken steps to limit injury risk, and the fact that they consistently chase profit/growth like ANY business/corporation in America doesn't automatically negate that, two things can be true at once....but outside of simply NEVER playing football again it seems that this "greedy NFL doesn't care about the players" take will continue to be cheaply regurgitated by people who claim to be football fans but actually just get off on whining about everything the sport does
(again, imagine if people were coming with this energy on a daily basis towards the corporations who value low wage grunt workers health and well being below that of a 0.02% margin of profit increase... but instead we all sit around shedding crocodile tears for the millionaire athletes who worked their whole lives to be where they are because once or twice a year they're asked to play a football game with less rest lol because you know, nobody else is ever asked to come into work early or something, that's just outrageous huh)

It’s so comical that Florio thinks he’s convincing people that he cares about the well-being of the players. He doesn’t are you kidding me?? He just LOVESSS to criticize others. It’s so obvious that he gets off on lashing out on others from his high horse. That’s Crystal clear

When a team's squad is depleted significantly due to injury, then the quality of the product diminishes... too much of a good thing never ends well.

Not even a fan of Florio's obvious politics, but he's clearly a bleeding heart who cares.
You can enjoy criticizing others while also think you're defending people at the same time.

...and the few people who watched the NBA game will watch the NFL instead. The NBA will be crowded out.

florio seems to think we're all degenerate gamblers who will watch any shit the NFL puts on TV, I've skipped alot of monday, thursday and sunday night games cause of the lousy teams playing.

I disagree with Wrignt’s take. The NFL will play 7 days a week and the people will watch. It’s the new religion in America for so many. Indeed. Surprised only 2 games. Thinking they’ll add another.

9:19 I share Mike’s opinion now that I’m 35 and older I’ve been a Giants fan for I guess close to 20 years if not at that mark. More people should be viewing this video and commenting because it’s really the truth you’re not gonna get this from ESPN or first pay or whatever BS show. Maybe the herd will talk about it but the point is as an adult you realize how terrible the NFL is the people and it’s just another corporation that’s trying to screw you in America.

Hilarious that Florio calls out the NFL for its greediness here when he defended it last year when the league decided to put playoff games on Peacock streaming forcing people to pay for it just because he works for NBC.
