This video covers our complete trip to Kauai over the course of one week. In it you'll experience the islands Stilt Homes, Chickens, Caves, Ke'e Beach, Kalalau Trail, Hanakapi Beach, Lizards, Whales, Paddle Boarding, Kayaking, Sea Turtles, Kilauea Lighthouse, Birds, Baby Wedge-Tailed Shearwaters, Red Footed Boobies, Fantasy Island Falls, Over 20 Waterfalls via a Helicopter tour, Glass Beach, and Waimea Lookout (sort of).

There is a way one could "go" to Hawaii and spend even less. I simply just lay down on my bed and imagined my travel in Hawaii for a week and the experience was awesome. I had some excellent food, saw some beautiful beaches, was able to fool around with the woman on the photo which introduces your video ... all for only the 3 dollars I spent for the joint I smoked before the experience.
BEAUTIFUL ISLAND...!!!
Yoly and I were married at the mouth of the Wailua River (30 years ago). We were married by a local minister and I remember picking up our marriage license at the local fish market ! The State Park up at Waimea Canyon has a lodge where they serve plate sized macadamia nut pancakes. When we walked in the door, the aroma about knocked us off our feet .... best pancakes EVER !! We were there over Christmas and the view from the lookout was crystal clear :-)
I’ve driven past Wailia river but never stopped. I just googled, it looks nice. Next trip and I’m visiting the Yoly wedding land.
We were married at what used to be The Aston Kauai Resort. The temple ruin, Hikinaʻakala Heiau was on their property, on the beach just south of the river mouth. About a year later (1990) the resort was destroyed in a hurricane and never rebuilt (at least not in the same location) so possibly, the temple ruin was also a victim. Unfortunately, Hawaii is a 9 hour flight from Atlanta and beyond my tolerance level ..... we were living in Long Beach at the time :-)

Southwest is supposed to start flying to hawaii, so cheep flights are on the horizon.
We hadn't flown in about 16 years and a week ago had an unexpected visit to SoCal (for a memorial). In my career I had racked up over 750,000 miles on Delta but I don't remember flying like this ! What a fricken ordeal ! Won't be doing that anytime soon again :-)
Just got back from Hawai'i and Kauai was was fantastic! Stayed in Princeville so we were only a short distance from Hanelai. Loved it there.
Brought back memories and showed some stuff we didn't get to see! Thanks for sharing!

VinceRocca done it twice!! so fun definitely recommend. and when you eat lunch, definitely jump in the river with the little waterfall. so peaceful and refreshing! most people don't, they just eat. missing out my friends!

Great job. Thanks for posting. We lived on the island for 4 months during the Winter for 3 years, and your video brings back many fond memories. And, BTW, the way you saw Waimea Canyon is the way that the majority of visitors to Kauai see it, because it rains most of the time there. At least, it seems like it. You are a lovely couple.

I lived on Kauai for 5 years in the early 90's, I lived in Wailua Homesteads about a mile passed these falls, this was my view everyday on my way home from work..

+Dana Felton I agree and I agree. It could be that we got store packaged Kona. I would have thought it would be authentic on the island, but I remember hearing that coffee companies mix 10% kona then put kona on the label. Or it could be that my taste is so in tune with Starbucks that I've been ruined for any other. Thanks for watching.
:45 in ... There are tunnels at tunnels beach. They are under water, and under your feet when you're standing on the beach. When you are standing on the sand, there are volcanic tunnels about 25ft-40 feet below you, you can only access them by diving.

Firstly.. We hate roosters now because its all you hear from 3am in Asia !!the hike at the start. looked beautiful, however i think we may have passed out 😂😂 we always managed to find hills or stairs or mountains to climb by accident while we was away! Those wales though 😂😂😂 great edit.
Helicopter ride is 100% on our bucketlist 😍😍 looked incredible them veiws and the water fall was beautiful too. looked like a busy time but definatly made us want to visit hawaii moreeee 👌
+Coshan Uncharted The Hawaii roosters don't wake that early, but chicks are abundant. The whale would have been better if I preplanned. I rarely do that. Usually, I get an idea on the spot or in post and try to figure it out later.

Ok, so I am going to Kauai, and I stumbled upon your video while doing research. I was suppose to be working, so I only browsed through it, without the sound on. My first impressions (as I told my GF): "I found this great video, looks like a couple who lives on the island (living room shots with dogs), sharing their favorite spots and passtimes. Looks like they have great knowledge of Kauai, blah blah blah. We need to watch it tonight". What a surprise when I got home. All I can say is, freaking awesome! thanks for sharing your wonderful experiences.

I have only been from Lihue Airport then through the "Tunnel Of Trees" to Poipu Beach.
Please all visitors to Kauai , come to Makauwahi Cave Reserve, located in Mahaul'epu. Access: walk from Shipwreck Beach or drive from Poipu to CJM stables and walk down toward Gillan house. If driving on the bumpy road to Pine Tree Beach look for our sign at the guard house and gate. Drive down the dirt road to our parking lot ,past our lo'i and native plant garden.. Aloha

Awesome! I loved Kauai, I even made a short film there all over the island, the first scene being on Poipu beach after a series of aerial shots I got after touring the island by helicopter through Blue Hawaiian. If you checked it out I'd totally appreciate it. It's called "Terrance & Wendell's Excellent Adventure." Kauai is an incredible island!

+Progressive news I think the video covers them all. But if I were to choose one. Id say drive up to Ke Ke Beach on the north side of the island. You can grab a starbucks next to a cheep gift shop, you see the coast, you can stop at some famous beaches, see the cave across tunnels beach, then hike the trail at the end of the road. We did all that in the video.
