Its hard to find film discussions about movies that aren't surface level, or only talk about whatever is popular. I greatly enjoy your content, not only because you don't do this, but because your writing is surprisingly enjoyable and the films you look at are ones i've simply never heard of. Plus, your observations and thoughts on said films are fantastic!! Thank you

Incredible video, thanks. Helped me understand what I love about Iranian flicks with that opening third portion.

So i watched this film yesterday and this is my first encounter to iranian cinema.i have always been crazy about those stories, the culture and that society which stops girls from their basic rights. I was wondering abt the apple,i was keen to know why it has been shown, why the mother took it in the end...i loved this review.i hope i will watch more of your videos.also are you from iran? Do suggest me such films.❤️

I am from the United States. I would suggest checking out A Moment of Innocence, Close-Up, The Circle (2000), and The White Balloon.

@@thedancingwords1067 I'm not huge on Samira Makhmalbaf's latest one, but you should definitely see her film Blackboards.

Just a suggestion, it would be great if you could review "Antichrist". It is a tough one, I own it, but, have to be in the right mood to watch it. I've seen it about 4 times. Also "El Topo" is worth checking out

I am considering analyzing the opening of Antichrist. Would that interest you?
