Becasue 90% of people bet favourties the odds are rarely good value, books don't make so much profit paying out 90% of their customers, its basic math!

These are all good things to look for, also motivation plays a big factor but the most important thing is to get good odds. Most people don't calculate the probability percentage of the odds but you should always do this and only lay the bet if you believe that there are 3+ goals more times than that percentage.

Hey Emmanuel. One way is to use a website like VISN to look at public betting splits to check if the public are on an underdog (they usually back the favourite so when they back an underdog that is a warming that it might not be a good play)
In general underdogs usually have the most value though. The skill is knowing when they are a bad stylistic matchuo for a higher ranked team and then the next part is having the mental strength to accept that those plays won't win every time but in the long term will make profit.
Most people are too obsessed with making money now so they avoid playing higher odds plays that make more money in the long term.
