There's a simple way to understand american odds. The + number is the amount of profot that you make if you bet $100 on it. When its a minus number that number is the amount you must bet to make 100 dollards profit. So +150 means is you bet 100 you will win 150 profit. If its -200 then you must bet 200 to win 100 profit.

They use draftkings data and have an agreement with them so its accurate to that book. Other services seem to guess using technical analysis which is not accurate. Generally you should be able to also reference how odds move and sport knowledge to know.

Whatever has the best odds. For UFC 302 I have bets placed on Unibet, bet365, Skybet and PaddyPower, whoever has the best odds I use (unless I'm restricted on their platform!)

Good question. I committed 10% of my bankroll from my day job every month for a year. I worked in sales too so I had a lot of commission/bonus money which sped the process up a lot. Once I knew I had an edge and was making profit consistently for 6 months I was confident enough to add some money from other investments that I had but now I am strict about keeping these completely separate. It takes time to build a bankroll that gives you a decent return. A lot of top sports bettors only make a very small ROI but as they have such a huge bankroll 5% can be a huge amount of money. That’s why you must be careful as 5% for me isn’t a lot of profit so I need to be making more.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm very new to this. I just bought a camera and started recording so I hope the sound isn't too bad. The 'real' odds is always an analysis we have to make ourselves so its a mix of just looking at the data and looking at the specific matchup. In this case I would consider how often he scores (search online for the average goals per game) factor in the fact he did not score in the previous game which increases the likelihood and then the fact that the game should have a lot of goals due to a favourable stylistic matchup between two teams. Finally consider intangibles which in this case was the fact Mbappe will be leaving PSG so may want to show what he can do to win favour with those who want him. You are correct about the odds, any odds can be profitable but if 90% of people are betting on a selection the bookies aren't silly enough to give 90% of people a +EV number so you can bet that it will almost always be a -EV play. Sometimes they will get it wrong sure but they make money from the 90% so if you copy them you almost certainly are not getting good value.

Thanks for sharing. You are a million miles ahead of me but the principle is the same. I make a lot more profit than my friends who live and breathe the game becasue they don't understand odds and always back who they think will win instead of backing good odds. This is why it feels like you just can't make money despite winning a lot of bets and its why so many cappers are not profitable despite having good win/loss ratios too.

Yeah I got that wrong and really underestimated Sean. Half way through the fight I was like 'damn he's really made me eat my words!' but its ok, I've had a lot of success in past events and this one too but I'm not a machine and I make mistakes. In truth when I saw everyone on Sean as well that only made me more convinced to fade him which was another mistake. I honestly thought the cardio would be the deciding factor but Sean managed that perfectly and Chito waited far too late to go which was due to Seans Talent so I can admit when I'm wrong and give the guy props, he looked incredible.
