Some of the moves can combine and make your opponent fall into a combo that inescapable
I'm right now using peg-top, roll, and torrent
First I start with roll(Luna chakrams shadow ability)
Then peg-top(three arrows glory armor shadow ability) right after the chakram hits the first
Which brings the opponent towards me during roll, to be hit with peg-top
And finish them with torrent(eagles dive shadow ability)
Which perfect since the peg top needs a small window of time, which roll provides, and the torrent move needs a even longer time which peg-top provides by knocking your opponent down
I used before a choke>rift>thud combo which I assume you can guess how that looked because I'm not going explain that one too.
I advise something.
Epic or legendary legion helmet.
(One with uppercut.)
Heralds Legendary/Epic armor.
Dynastian weapon(or heralds if you want.)
I used this set to defeat shadow mind.
Combos:
Uppercut. Then your heralds armor shadow move.
Then immediately use your next shadow move.(The weapon)
Just play for fun 😂

I really love the Dash ability in heralds rare weapons 😊😊

After watching this I just realized that most of the main bosses in SF2 are Heralds and a few are Legion. Lynx, Hermit, Wasp, and Shogun use weapons that would fit in Heralds(though Hermit himself could be more considered as a Dynastian but his swords work like Sai weapon type), Butcher and Titan fit with Legion, but Widow on the other hand I don't know because Fans never returned in SF3 but if I had to give it a Shadow Ability I'd say Flail, Twist, or Circulator
Widow's fans could have tornado.
Hermit should be dynastian
Butcher is a dynastian for some reason
Lynx is a herald
Shogun should be herald
Wasp and widow better fit as dynastian
And titan shouldn't have a faction he could be part of the void faction

If you are asking why do you active a shadow ability then it's to gain an advantage, if you are asking how to activate a shadow abilty then press on the tornado-ish button (it becomes blue when you have shadow energy ready)
