My father has served passionately as a Foreman in the Indian Ordnance Factories for 40 years, being an alumni of prestigious Swiss Indian ATS training of the 60s. Ordnance Factories which are now corporatised for leaner production. I have grown up listening to stories of gear cutting, milling, CNC machines and how they forge and make heavy artillery. He was always passionate about his work, but the Government system and bureaucracy never supported such talented people. I am sure that India can progress a lot with such privatisation and outsourcing & bring back the old charm of Ordnance Factories.
What about the earlier service of our defence factories. India govt never given permission to import technical know how to ordinance factory but given permission to private why.
Finally we are listening new names..... From TATA, Mahindra, L and T, .....we have many more now... Cycle bn rha hai....new start-ups are making world class drones...... It's good
