Interesting.. the question was answered with 1000 meaningless words when a simple yes or no would have been sufficient.
The answer was neither
could it be an inside job? Someone powerful wanted the man dead
That representative is going to be applying for a political post in the very near future…….
the answer is that the investigation is ongoing
This is how they are being taught. Sound like u're saying something without actually answering the question
"This kind of thing doesn't happen very often" ... I FREAKING HOPE NOT! Brilliant reporting, guy.
"Police started life-saving measures..."
Like what? trying to re-attach his head?
😂😂😅😅😢😢😂😂
😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
re arranging the diced materials,
@@rosetzu_nagasawa oh...the diced body parts were all rearranged all right. Yuck!
Putting pieces together.. Y'know? Like Lego?
Reporter: "Was the engine running?" Spokesman Weisberg, after 40 seconds of blather: "...he was partially inside the engine." Yes, or no? Wow, this guy's a grade-A, Washington, DC hearing testimony specialist. All that schmegegge and still no definitive answer.
They were running , the guy made them stop 😉🙄
well-said......that spokesman dodged questions better than DJT dodges facts, so he may have a future career as a Trump spokesperson.
Your English comprehension is just bad. He said it was undetermined. He gave info.
Spokesman is dodgy... "the air blades were circulating" ...
@@jlvandat69SLAVA KOKAÏNÏ… go ahead and consume some more bud, the current amount is clearly not enough
A running jet engine is basically a large food processor with a juicer and air fryer at the back end in that order. A very gruesome way to pass on.
worlds biggest vacuum cleaner to start with
The inlet of the engine would be a deadly blender. The small jet exhaust would be a cyclonic wind oven but the bypass air from the engines fan (the external, bigger part of the engine) would only be EXTREMELY windy at largely outside air temperature.
gruesome, but quick.
The blades of the engine of this plane (Airbus A220-100) are a decent way back from the edge of the cowling. An article describes a passenger as seeing responders do compressions trying to resuscitate him. Both of these would point to him not being put through the blades and if he did make contact, it was likely not major since there was at least enough of a body in order to try.
Mentions of naloxone in that same article make me think the guy ODed while pressed against the cowling by the engines. Remember they were not in the middle of actually taking off, the engines were not running at high power. (I think they were at a de-icing station)
@@whyjnot420 yes they were at a deicing station ,, the engine was spinning and they had to tell the pilot to shut the engine down ,,so it was probably at ground idle turning just enough to keep the burners going ,,we may never know what he actually did ,,it's possible he just ODed on drugs ,,maybe the engine pulled him in and he hit his head on the cowling and never actually hit the fan disk
Spokespeople these days must be trained in how to mumbo jumbo and answer nothing at all.
Did someone tell you all to repeat this?
A politician in the making!! BLA BLA BLA
Unless he drove his vehicle into the engine, I don't know how disclosing this individual's driving record adds any value to the situation whatsoever.
Because it had been asked previously if he had a criminal record, like was he attempting to do something terroristic maybe but died doing it
That guy they were interviewing was terrible at relaying any info.
I can't imagine what the passengers who might have seen him must be dealing with.
so, basically he climbed into the inlet cowling, which is NOT inside the engine. it is just basically the round portion of the engine that surrounds the low pressure compressor(N1 fan) you see spinning on the front of the engine. if that engine was running he be pate' i have cleaned birds out of CFM 56 engines and there is nothing left but bird paste. it'd easily do the same to a human
And the smell of the greased birds 🤮
I'm not an expert, but in any death involving a jet engine it's gonna be pretty obvious what the cause of death was
Heart attack? ^^
@@lolalasziv1059 ingestion by turbofan ,,hopefully the jet didn't get indigestion

Pilot had to be told to "turn off the engine"??? Pilot to Tower: There's a dead human being, ground up in my engine. Should I turn it off?"
That police spokesman should be offered the White House Press Secretary job. Can’t answer a simple question.
Sounds like suicide to me.
😂
Nope. Very suspicious.
Possibly.
@@ShahWirana-bq9hv ☺☺☺☺
Nah it’s homic-
Why was he out there in the first place? Passengers shouldn't be able to just push a random door open, emergency exit or not.
Yeah, no. People should be able to push emergency exits open.
He wasn’t a passenger. He left the terminal via emergency exit, not the plane.
I saw a brief security clip of him frantically trying to open doors leading into a jet way. When he couldn't them open, the next camera picked him up outside on the ground running toward the front of the wing, and the clip stops, so I assume that is when he put himself in jeopardy and received his fatal injury.
Drugs or mental health issues are most likely at the core of what caused his drastic behavior.
Interviewer: "Was the engine on?"
Police: Well yes but actually no
Yuck...if you ever seen a gas turbine engine ingest a bird, including a sparrow; the results are nasty and smelly. I don't want to imagine a human being. (I seen US Navy aviation accident photos...gross!)
the pilot didn't notice anything different
and
had to be told to turn it off....
i guess the de icing crews wasn't paying attention to anything on the ground as well.
@@rosetzu_nagasawa Don't forget. That is a police spokesman not a representative of the airport or airline. We don't truly have an understanding of the totality of the circumstances.
A human being being ingested into an actual running jet engine even in idle will negatively impact the affected power plant.
Could be the engine was windmilling (not powered up) when the lunatic crawled up into the engine. We simply don't know.
So instead of him accepting responsibility for being late and catching the next flight, he ended up making everyone on the flight late, what an a hole
Security made him late…our airports are trash. I was had a similar situation when I reached customs and an officer made me go back into the line before customs and almost made me miss my flight. I shows him my ticket and passport and there was literally no reason for me to redo the whole thing again. When I came back at customs for the second time I was allowed to go through with no problem…
Arrive earlier, rather get through all your checks and wait at your gate with an hour to spare, like everyone else...
He was ready and on time, security caused him to be late and he was trying to see he sick grandfather in Utah
@@TheSalt_on time is late, have you ever been in ANY airport? Even leaving a barely trafficked airport at 5:30am means you arrive at 3:30am and ENSURE you’re not late(been there, done that, never been late bc I plan and act accordingly) It’s better to sit and wait than have this happen
@@TheSalt_ no one calls him to be late! The airport was empty. Stop trying to find someone to blame.
No one feels bad for Delta’s insurance company who has to pay to fix engine?
Right, my heart bleeds for freaking insurance companies. (not really).
No why would anyone care about insurance companies with more money than your entire family tree has ever made
No, that’s just about money which they have in excess anyway. It’s much more tragic with a young person dying from mental health issues
😂😂😂
I feel bad for the clean up crew
I had no idea the Americans were so fond of mincemeat, they seem to be really loving it this must be the 5th in as many weeks.
I took part in tests with RollRoyce engines and one jet engine at 3/4 throttle could move a 1/2 ton weight at 50 ft in front with ease.
These people walking in front of running jet engine intakes must be mental.
rest in peace Tyler
Kyler* but yes RIP 😢
The guy had an mental illness, should not have travelled alone!
"this kind of thing doesn't happen very often"... Really? 🤔
yep.
He solved his mental health issues with a trip to the airport..🤷🏼♂️
Last year, a poster briefly showed a Navy ingestion incident, where the sailor accidentally stood up and put a hand within a foot of the intake of a running fighter jet.
It was instantly over. I will never forget that scene
You tube of course pulled that footage within an hour.
Was that the A-6 Intruder being hooked up for a catapult launch, or something new? The guy who got scarfed up by the A-6 survived.
I think he survived
A-7 Corsair II's had a nasty intake location and a voracious appetite for those who did not respect that A/C.
@@BigBlueJake might have been newer, possibly, no way that guy lived, and if by some miracle he lived, he wouldn't want to continue living
@@davidconner-shover51 If you mean the guy I was talking about, his cranial (helmet/ear protection) was pulled off and went through the engine, which reduced the suction enough that he wasn't pulled into the blades.
Why on earth didn’t the grounds crew stop him? At any point during when an aircraft is at the gate or the de-icing pad, there will always be ground crews either working on the aircraft, either de-icing the aircraft or ground crew mechanics fixing the aircraft. From the reports they said ATC had to notify the pilot to shut off engines, so then mechanics are ruled out of he equation. De-icing crews then working on de-icing the aircraft should visibly see if someone’s is approaching the aircraft who’s unauthorized without any safety PPE’s or uniform. At some airports, even emergency exists won’t open without an authorized airport ID with a programmed chip. So there has to be more to this report that they’re not mentioning. Security is high and gaining entrance to a secured area like a tarmac, isn’t something that’s easily accessible by just a door that has alarms when opened. Like I said, you can’t even open them without a programmed ID issued by the airport.
I have to agree with you. If an aircraft was actively being deiced then there would have been ground crew around it. It’s mandatory to wear high visibility clothing so anyone who isn’t supposed to be there is very obvious and he should have been intercepted long before he reached the engine.
As for getting into the airport my best guess is that he scaled a fence somewhere.
Why is the victim record being discussed?
The record hasn’t anything to do with his demise.
You people ought to be ashamed of this coverage
My condolences to the victims family and friends 💔🥀🥹🕊️
Family will be receiving compensation, best part.
because no one can actually just say, "dude dove headfirst into a a running jet engine and got chopped up like salad veggies"? Let's just call it like it was.
Actually, it was more like a dude smoothie.
Exact cause of death, "stupidity"
It was a manic episode, my dude
@@TheSalt_ I have seen a couple of my friends have manic episodes where they completely lost their minds (both had documented mental health issues) and it is scary how fast any sort of rational thought/actions go straight out the window. All you can do is try and keep them safe (as well as yourself) until someone arrives to pick them up and monitor them in a safe location. One of those people spent a full month in Mendota Mental Hospital in Madison, WI under TIGHT watch. I visited him while he was in there and he was a completely different person and a lot of what he did/said made no real sense. The real scary thing is that he didn't remember most of it after he snapped back to reality.
All that being said, i'm with you....looked like a complete manic breakdown based on how the guy just snapped and I can't really fault him for what happened.... In no way was that mental breakdown that took his life an accurate measure of his intelligence or him as a person. Just a terrible situation all around for him and his family.
"The engine wasn't running "when officers arrived" but it must have been running when this guy managed to climb in it & before the Pilots had a chance to shut it down. Jet engines take time to shut off they aren't like a car engine. For all we know this guy could have been planning something in flight had he not missed his plane.
but he didn't miss the plane.
But this video doesn’t say that at all. The video states the blades were running when officers arrived. And the video also confirms the engine was on they just don’t know exactly what stage the engine was in at the time.
The engines don’t get shut down during de-icing. What was he thinking running to the de-icing pads? Poor soul.
Typically engines are shutdown for deicing. Usually the only time would be in the event of an inop APU unit then they would deice one side of the plane. Then start the engine. Shut down the other and deice that side.
Well if you want to go that is a creative way to do it. That would be like jumping in a giant bassomatic. Only old people that watched SNL in the 70s would know what that means RIP. Sad that the family has to suffer from his actions.
Bassomatic
SNL in the 70’s was the best along with the BASSOMATIC 😂
There was a similar death a few years back. Two lovers had a tiff and one of them ran away and eventually, got airside of the terminal, stole an airport vehicle, then drove at a plane. He stopped near the plane, and then jumped into one of the planes engines!
FAA licensed mechanic here… the engine is the best place to keep warm on a cold morning.
So that’s why he climbed in
Nothing better on a cold morning than doing engine inspection and warming your hands/gloves on the exhaust nozzle. 🙂🇦🇺
Unless you’re working around a 787 and the APU is on. There’s a vent on the belly that blows out warm air. Truly a ramper’s best friend on a chilly morning.
@mikoto7693
Always a great place to dry out. 🙂
That air is coming from the Air Cycle Machine Air conditioning systems primarily and secondary heat exchangers. 🇦🇺
Air blades. Genius spokesperson
That cop spokesman is a tool
How so? Seems pretty normal
Why do you say that? Seems professional spokesperson to me.
All he had to do was say 'yes' or 'no' instead of blathering on the way he did. He sounded like a politician giving a long winded non answer.
@@10OZDuster Perhaps the de-icer (chemical exposure). Perhaps the cold air (hypothermia). Perhaps a little of both.
Fine mormon boy too.
Feel Bad For Delta , The Mechanics , The plane and most importantly The Engine .
Psycho
Would have shown the video of the incident but it was choppy
Completely unnecessary to bring up the poor guys traffic violations and 'drug' charges, which we know he was on medical marijuana. This report did more to dehumanize this man than to focus on his bi-polar episode that caused it. Also no need to ask if the engine was running. The guy was inside it and he is dead. Pretty clear how he died. Terrible reporting.
Poor man and his family.
So he didn't got liquified by the blades?????
Condolences.
Imagine missing a flight and being so entitled you think you have the right to flag down your plane. What are they teaching kids these days, that they create their own reality or somrthing?
He was having a manic episode dude, and he wasn’t a kid, he was 30.
@@BigJMC He was upset because he missed his flight and his solution was to flag down the plane. I wouldn't call that a manic episode. I would call it fatal stupidity.
Don't do drugs
There is "suicide by cop"...this case looks like "suicide by CFM engine".
...or RR , idk.
Plane issues everywhere since the start of the year 😢
Not a plane issue. This one is a druggie issue.
How is this a plane issue?
What was the battlefield about
I can't imagine the tornado of disjointed images twisting and turning in his mind before he saw something in the engine intake that he thought would "save" him, and crawling inside seemed like the best thing to do. I hope whatever was happening in his brain prevented him from feeling pain.
Mental health or drug user?? Drug use can cause mental health issues.
Mental issues, manic episode
Sad story. I feel for the pilot and passengers as well as the family of the Gentleman.
Could that be a wrongful death lawsuit? Since no one did anything to prevent him from getting there?
Why
A white pony-tailed guy named Kyler overdosed. How stereotypical can one get?😂😂😂😂
Overdosed? Where'd it say that?
@@TheSalt_ local news.....main stream media wont dare say it was an OD
Very Sad.
Great security. Anyone could have gone through the emergency exit and made it to to where Kyler Efinger went and security could not stop it.
He went into meat grinder
Another spokesman hired by our wonderful equity and fairness department.
He was a new employee. Hired by the FAA.
What does his past have to do with anything...... Disgusting to even bring up past criminal or drug charges shame on you!!!?!
That's got to be the worst media spokesman I've ever seen. More evidence of DEI hiring.
No, no, Apron or Ramp. Tarmac is I general terminology for paved areas of airport surfaces. News reports get this wrong a lot.
The only responsibility of the airline is not calling police on this type of people.
Kyler……. What sort of name is that?
A normal one..? I have a friend named Kyler
I knew a Kyler growing up. 🤷🏽♀️ seems normal to me.
What does the prior record going back eight years have to do with anything?
What a strange news report
The new Pratt and Whitney slicer and dicer…..
Shaky and sketchy stuff going down.
They say this kind of thing doesn't happen very often. I would like to know how often is not very often, is it like once a week, every other day, twice a year?
THIS AIRPORT NEEDS TO OVERHAUL THEIR OPERATIONS! THIS MAN SHOULD HAVE BEEN STOPPED!
Oh,turn it OFF!!!
Does he imply "partially" mean "HIS HEAD is INSIDE the engine, basically decapitate himself, aka Suicide".
So Police said "lets move and and beggin the negotiations"...
Katt williams
😢
Did you say F-- INGER
Did the call to the pilot go something like turn off your engines there's a guy hanging out of one of them and we don't think he has a ticket.
Hope his family dont get hit with an engine replacement bill!!!!
It was a mental illness episode you Neanderthal! No one is at fault
Clearly not well
Problem is how he got on the tarmac
I thought no alarm was going off but people saw him in the middle of the airlort moving onto tarmac
Unreal 😮
Sad
Air blades were circulating. Okay...i give the gentleman props since he is a police spokesman, (no pund intended "props"). Fan blades spinning. Huh....ingesting a human being would cause the powerplants to chug with indications on the flightdeck of a catastrophic failure resulting in the immediate shutdown of the affected or all engines.
Man turned into a hamburger 😭💀😭💀💀🤙🤙
Makes NO sense.
Я так и не нашел полное видео.
Its less rare than it used to be. 3 in 12 months, no?
He couldn’t get any higher even with the plane.
It was a manic episode... soooo
Mental health... Thats I need to hear
A plane engine is not made to crush a person i think that guy forgot
Is the plane ok?
Boeing is sending a Max therapist.
If only the man didn’t have to hike a million miles to his gate….
Thats not fair men
The idiot ran right into the engine while it was running.
No need to scatter the ashes
Well, what got scattered probably wasn't ash yet............
I also love how they bring up his criminal record. Totally his fault that the plane engine ate him!
Mushrooms are not for everyone.
BOTH QUESTIONS: yes or no answers
MY INVESTIGATION RESULTS: crawled into a running jet engine - dead
Cause of death - stupidity.
„The exact cause of death is under investigation…“
So Mr. Coroner, what was the cause?
Coroner: Is that a trick question?
So did he catch the flight
He made a running dive head-first into a meat grinder. They pulled out what was left.
Suicide by jet engine ingestion I always say be original.
