12 years of roman catholic school and I was NEVER taught the full bible nor even given a bible (je les accuse). Especially, RC's kind of reverence for God's holiness, nor was I warned during my precious preteen and teenage years of many biblical dangers. The Lord bless all the prodigals for a safe journey back home.

I study in a Roman Catholic school. And so far so good. If only they would take seriously their doctrines and explain it to us. But sadly we don't have Bible studies in school. Our motto is Ora et Labora, and we would always end our prayers with That in all things God may be glorified. But for now, I am reading the Bible and praying. For me, that is what I need right now.

It’s easy for the believer to read the first 5 verses of Isaiah 6 and feel nothing, but sometimes I will sit and read those 5 verses over and over again and put myself in Isaiah’s place. The presence of the Lord is an obvious & Ultimate fretful sight but most neglect how frightening it also must have been for Isaiah to stand before those holy Seraphims. I have heard many professed Christians proclaim that because they are Christian that they no longer need to fear God, that’s foolishness, to stand before this Lord is a terribly frightening thing..One of the easiest ways to humble yourself in the sin of your pride is to put yourself in Isaiah’s shoes in the first 5 verses of Isaiah 6, we are NOTHING outside of his mercy & grace!!

This message was perfect for me today. I listened to it while I was driving. It engaged my mind and lifted me soul. So many preachers try to water God’s holiness down to something we can understand.
Impossible. The finite cannot fully comprehend the infinite. It’s wonderful knowing that we don’t have to. We are made righteous not by our understanding, but by his imputing his own righteousness to us.

Hi there brothers, sisters, and neighbors, Holy means more than just one thing. Yes, Mrs. R.C. Sproul, Holy Holy Holy is The LORD God Almighty. This is a part of Holy Scripture that helped me to see and perceive GOD as The Triune God and it was important to me to help me understand what Holy means. Holy as I understand and where one gets their sources is paramount in helping to understand that Holy=Set apart for a purpose!!! So when the Angels of God are crying out Holy Holy Holy day and night, they are worshiping and announcing to all that God has set Himself apart for His great glory and purposes. Thank The God of gods, Lord of lords, and King of kings for His Holiness! GOD Almighty!!! Holy Father, Holy Spirit, Holy One of Israel( The Lord Jesus) Lord Jesus bless you all! In Jesus' Wonderful Name!

Our son (8) came out of Sunday School and said to me. "Dad, I know who the kick up the bum is, the Godhead." I replied, "Only the Holy Spirit can show you this." He's 45 today. Super informed regarding communicating an ancient religious idea rooted in Antithesis to a Postmodern Post-Christian mind. He's always known that the Holy Spirit dwells in and for us. And, in his own capacity.

I know somethng about sin and the need to be forgiven for sin. However, I was never quite sure why there is so much concern about being fogiven for sins, especially when no one specifies what sins they want forgiven. However, I wonder if what they really mean about their desire for forgiveness and justificaton, is their purity of heart. In other words, they desire to touch God, to know God. They are spiritual seekers.

There is something missing here in the exposition of the burning coal. The significance is not cauterization of the flesh as though that could profit anything. Rather, it is Old Testament ceremonial law. It is the Old Testament preaching of the Gospel ....
The burning coal was taken off the altar. The altar speaks to us if the offering once for all of Christ Jesus. The burning offering reminds us and speaks to us if the fiery wrath of God which Jesus endured for our sins . And so this fiery coal preaches the propitiatory death of Christ who himself bare our sins upon that tree.
And this "APPLICATION" of the Gospel, of the Burning coal, is a reminder of Christ . It is visible Gospel. It is a means of grace. It does the same thing that baptism does in Acts 2:38, 39 and Acts 22:16. The blood of Christ is at once applied to Isaiah in chapter 6 and he immediately, by faith received the cleansing that only God can impart..
Consider also how well David too understood this in Psalm 51 when he took the ceremonial preaching of the gospel from Numbers 19 and Leviticus 14. David, by the Spirit and saw these old testament Baptisms and their fulfilment both in his sinful defilement, AND more especially in Christ" blood, by which alone God washes away our sins, exactly as in Baptism (Acts 22:16) .
In all these outward, God ordained elements we see Christ really preached, and just like Isaiah in chapter 6, we see sins really purged and washed away !
Nothing has changed . Sin is just as much washed away in Baptism as it was purged through the Burning coal applied to Isaiah's lips in his day.. But let Boone become complacent . Isaiah knew the significance of the coal of the altar . He knew this spoke if Christ and the Holy Spirit opened his eyes to see his Saviour in this . We too, must see Christ by faith when our sins are washed away in Baptism according to God's promise ....

R.C. Sproul was deluded. He loved God, yes. And he held to the basics of Christianity, yes. And he was saved, yes. However, he espoused the inane teachings of John Calvin, and promoted this heresy for decades. Calvinism is the number one most divisive teaching within the Church.

"Do not think that I have come to bring peace on earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter in law against her mother in law. And a person's enemies will be those of his own household. Whoever loves father or mother more than me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me." Mt 10:34-37
These are the very words of Jesus, the Lord God Almighty, Love Himself. Thats division my friend! Jesus the sWord Himself is the dividing line! And any true connection any of us will ever have to each other that trully honors Him is our connection to and in Him! Seems the Lord himself saw things that needed to be divided. Those words hold many implications from the one who knows us best. And believe and know His witness of us is true. Swords cut, divide and separate and kill.
Some don't think that God is a God of division but He loves righteousness and will divide false unity so that true unity will be had namely being joined to himself. The Bible talks about sheep's and goats. He's going to be dividing on judgement day, the same way He is today by His Spirit through the eternal Word. Many today would say of Jesus words "that don't sound like love to me" that ain't my Jesus!" Thats probably why you rarely hear the whole counsel preached today and the reason many are more joined to each other than to God. People preaching another Jesus out here by simply seeking to avoid hard words because they "divide". Jesus had many disciple's in (John 6) and ended up with 12 cause many heard His words of eating His flesh and drinking His blood..and were offended and it says they walked with Him no more! And He didn't chase them apologizing..but turned to the 12 and said are you leaving also? Peter said "where will we go you have the words of eternal life"..and He said have not I chosen you 12 and one of you is a devil? Talk about dividing!!😮 Can you imagine the look on their faces and then knots in their stomach as they all examined themselves against one another..and from then on probably tried to out do one another in ministry to make sure they were not that one..it says they came back bragging as it were about demons being subject to them in His name to which He replied rejoice not that the demons are subject to you in my name but rather that your names are written in the book of Life..the sWord to kill their selfish pride..these were not perfect men and we see glimpse into their mind set as Jesus was talking about being crucified they were bragging about being the greatest in the kingdom. People are no different today. Which is why the word should still be preached in it entirety.
There's such a gross I'm balance of the view of God's character today, ignorance is rampant even amongst the gathering. As in times past we have come to a place where men love themselves their opinions and methods instead of God and His ways, so many won't preaching the full gospel and counsel of God...we need to studying to show ourselves approved UNTO GOD and that is rightly divided the word of truth that make one unashamed. My friend it seems like so many you stumble over the word Calvinism and miss it's biblical truth, for Calvin only believed and taught the whole counsel of God, letting scripture interpret scripture to receive God's witness of Himself and agree with what God says about us and I believe if people actually had the guts to preach the things that Calvin preached, the Bible people would be better off instead of hoping and wishing and trying to work their way into the kingdom..as it stands it's impossible to preach all of God's word and not offend the flesh..be it tenderly or roughly and the word is both.. and If the truth divides.. so be it.
