I just used the Ozark trails brand Whopper plopper and within three casts caught a 4 lb 19-in largemouth bass. The $12 original name brand Whopper plopper didn't catch anything all morning. I'll stop buying pretty much anything but Ozark trails brand lures because they're just good quality but because they don't have some crazy name on them they don't cost a bunch of money.
Good to know, the Walmart near me sell 5 pack of square bills for like 15 bucks or something crazy. Gonna have to give them a try next time I’m there

Next tourney, you should do Wal-Mart everything.... Rod, reel, line, baits, etc... Let's say you win or place, you can show the world you don't need expensive shit to fish competitively and do well. I'm sure it's been recommended, but for us NON-ballers that would be a clean ass vid

@@DJloudpack3208 I don't like Ozarks stick baits they are to stiff. The paddle tails, ribbon tail worms and fluke style baits are decent though. I was referring to the hard baits though lol they come with eagle claw lazer sharp hooks though and I know some think those hooks aren't good but those hooks have landed me some big fish lol including a 7.5lber on the ozark plopper last year and it's still like new after 😁

I absolutely HATED fishing lake norman when I lived in NC, its huge and gets deep fast so finding fish without a fish finder or on a kayak was a hassle, probably not so bad on an actual boat but i still dont have a bass boat yet

Yeah, some pretty good ones in my opinion. St croix rods, shimano reels. A nice little section for fishing.
That’s crazy cause I used that same color worm in Georgia the other week and caught a 3.5 and lost a 5 and a half pounder cause of the rod on a shaky head.
Coming back from your fishing trip to that Walmart you passed up one of the best tackle shops around. You guys definately need to come back to N.C.
