I don’t know if they are a clone of the RE. But, what I can say is that the ride position of my Hunter is very reminiscent of bikes of the 70s; especially the old CBs. So I think the Honda is harking back in time. What they all have in common though, is…. Comfort.
You will of seen by now that the Honda will be sub £4k. Will be interesting to see what Enfield do. Maybe they will have to make the Hunter a little cheaper.
It's a good looking bike but I'm not sure how it will fit in. It won't be as cheap as the enfields and the triumph 400 will have far more power and the triumph badge. Honda tried competing with other retro when they brought out the CB1100 and that didn't sell either. I think the bike the uk is getting doesn't look as good as the Indian version!
