I used this kit on my first show with the MeGustas (an instrumental surf band) in a small club. i told the sound man he wouldn’t need a mic for the snare. After the show he said “you were right!”
Yes, i have been looking for an old Slingerland Duco tom in 9x13 as this era had no badges i could just swap some leedy lugs on to it. However the 12-16 gives great separation to the toms. I think thats why so many Slingerland and rogers sets ran 12/16/20.
alan duncan yeah but one of the few things still made in the USA. I generally keep my heads for a long time. I'm still kicking myself for throwing away all the ones that were in my parents garage.
What a gorgeous kit!!
Going Bonham, great playing!
'Badges?! We don't need no stinkin badges!'
(couldn't resist)
Beautiful kit, sir!
I'm quite jealous.
Cheers,

Now those right there are some resonant drums! Great playing, too.

Actually this kit was used for "the great gatsby" ballet when it came to sacramento.
So it has been gigged but not on any kind of regular basis.
awesome
Interesting that there are no air holes on the toms, sounds great.
Never heard of such a thing...
great drum kit n digging the moby dick solo
Lovely kit. 8x12 seems a bit unusual for the 22" KD and 16x16? I would have expected a 9X13. Thanks for the tour.
