I enjoy using scraps the most because it doesn't feel as scary as using a 12x12 perfect looking piece of paper. lol

I was looking at that wide pink strip for the green and white chevron pocket and you kept passing it over it! It would have gone great with the other strip, but I guess you were trying to be deliberately varied.
