The original pulse rifle props were reused in Alien 3. The Weyland Yutani commandos use them at the end of the film. The props were repainted in all black. So your Airsoft gun actually resembles the Alien 3 version, and with the added grey sections - it looks even better!
the reason it resembles the thompson is because the original props were M1 Thompsons from World War 2 and a remington 870 shotgun for the grenade launcher
Wow!! This one is sooo awesome!! Would be very nice up for display on a wall even. Cool that the display works. Would have easily settled for a 95rd mag also. That mag winding system is a huge con on it imo.. Been a huge fan of the Alien movies for a long time - esp the 2nd movie..

I want one as a display piece, new skirmish gun is the upcoming wolverine MTW.But the pulse rifle is a mush have for me :P. I just need to finish my Biohazard collection first, still trying to find the deagal and the disgustingly rare gold lugers.

Get a extended Thomson magazine and use a Dremel and cut out the bottom of the magazine so you can do everything you need to with the mag with out taking off the cover
Someone should make an after market magazine modification. Where the 'cover' part is actually the grip of the magazine and the magazine doesn't need to be ... Whatever he did to the cog at the bottom. I'd buy 5, so the reload is more intuitive and more immersive. I don't know if I made sense

Would love to know if this is modable to make it into the ‘Storm Rifle’ they touted with the marketing bumf that came out with Prometheus. It would need a longer barrel with a flash eliminator. Everything else, modified pistol grip, pump grip, angled butstock, modified front barrel cover, addition of flashing leds and a tactical sight are easy, but if you can’t realistically add a 5-6” longer barrel it’ll never look right.
I would buy that and find gear to make myself look like a colonial marine. I wish the wheel on the mag is on the base of the pulse rifle "mag" base so its still reminiscent of the movie one.

Sense Deletion the grenade launcher is also part of a spas 12
The pump action and shroud were from a Spas 12, the barrel and chamber were from a Remmington
The bottom line is the prop weighed a ton, considering the combined weight of the Thompson and SPAS12.
It was a Thompson M1A1 with a Remington 870 12GA shotgun underneath the tommy gun.

Kinda ruins the mythology of it, they used a Thompson as it gave a nice big muzzle flash, looked good on film

Now you just need to put a speaker on it to produce THAT sound when firing

I have a custom base pad for mine with a hole in the bottom so that I don't have to take it off to wind the mag.
