  • This is the 3rd video of our lecture series about rebar cutting list. this video series is intended for Civil Engineering students and for those who are just starting in the industry.
    all of this knowledge would not be possible if hindi ako tinuran ng mga teammates ko sa construction (big thanks) at naexperience magkamali first-hand(nagkakamali din ako hehe). I am sharing this thoughts so that ung iba din ay magkaidea.

    Splice length should be in accordance to NSCP2015 Sect 425.5 not Sect 425.4

Tama po ba mas economical kung yung alam mo ng magteterminate sa 2nd Floor which is 4 bars no need for splicing if use the 7165mm, then dun na mag start ng 50% splicing which is 12 bars 6 and 6 scenario? medyo iba din po yung mark sa drawing (A1, B1, C1) hindi tugma sa table at 24:20.

    Good day Sir Engineer, i appreciate your videos. I just wanna ask, paano/saan po ba ecoconnect ang bar : for example in this video from 2nd to 3rd flr is 400m squared ang dimension ng column tapos 12 longitudinal bars, paano po ba makokonekt yan sa upper column e nag-iba na size ng column tapos 8 nalang rebars?? Mabebend po ba rebars ng kaunti sa joint nayan(transition from 2nd to 3rd level) kasi lumiit ang column? From 12 to 8 bars, connect 4 bars sa corners ng column, san po ecoconekt ung ibang 4 na bar(from smaller colm) sa ibaba na bar e may 8 bars dun?? sana naiintindihan niyo po, SORRY FOR THE LONG QUESTION :((

    • @CarlAmbrayTheCivilEngineer
      @CarlAmbrayTheCivilEngineer  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      this is a very good question actually. I appreciate you inquiring. it will really require actual/physical interaction sa construction ng column para madiskartehan yan. later I will post a video to address this question, I will create at least 3D model to give you at least some idea what "might" happen kung ikakabit na ung bakal.

      gitna po talaga, critical sa earthquake ang mga zone near beam-column joints, that is why hindi nirerecommend ng Code na dun mag dugtungan.

    What if 6m length RSB lang availble sa market. Ano diskarte nyo?

    • @CarlAmbrayTheCivilEngineer
      @CarlAmbrayTheCivilEngineer  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      then everything I say here should be revised but same approach,
      1. layout first, splice only at the appropriate Zones (whatever market length you use, kaya lang naman tayo namimili ng market length is para makatipid at mabawasan ang retasong bakal e, so bahala talaga si constructor)
      2. then count and compute total.
      if ever talagang di kaya ng 6m na maabot ang mga tamang splicing zone then my solution would be (kung ako contractor)
      1. look for other suppliers
      (ibang story na kapag maliit ang eskinita na pagdedeliveran, diskarte talaga ng constructor, for
      inavailability naman ng bakal dahil nagkakaubusan, jan papasok ung forecasting, hindi kasi pwede ngayong araw ka magkakabit ng bakal tapos ngayon ka lang oorder, dapat 2-3months before nakausap mo na supplier mo to provide you the appropriate length, i had experience in this scenario ordering rebars so it is more on communication with the suppliers)
      2. consult the structural engineer if pwede magcompromise sa lap splice zone (which is most of the time hindi papayag)

    • @albertyanga71
      @albertyanga71 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CarlAmbrayTheCivilEngineer
      Mostly ,6m lang talaga ang availble lalo dito province unlike sa Highly urbanize cities like Metro Manila

    • @CarlAmbrayTheCivilEngineer
      @CarlAmbrayTheCivilEngineer  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      if that is so.
      magiging marami ang retasong bakal mo (pero as I say, same approach lang, layout and count). wala na tayo magagawa dun. unless you can find more ways to reuse pa ung mga retasong bakal mo. ganun talaga sir e. and also consult your structural engineer and architect ng building what might be a better solution. sila ang pinaka final say sa ganiyang issue e. hehe.
      pero kung provincial urban naman, baka pwede ka mag direct sa mga supplier (or pabrika dealer) like Regan, Capitol Steel or Powersteel. matinding planning talaga kasi bulk orders sa kanila hindi tingi-tingi. pero kung provincial rural, eh talagang nasa matinding management and diskarte na nung kung sino man ang constructor.
      in the end, nasa diskarte ni contractor what is best.
