It simultaneously fits incredibly well with the topic of the spy with the jazz/classical key signatures and instrument choice, showing the refinement of the character, but you use chords that feel familiar yet also have a hint of pleasant dissonance in them, showing some mystery, all whilst being quiet enough in the video itself to function well as background music. Generally, amazing. I’ve never seen a gaming focused channel make their own music instead of reusing the same good yet overused tracks all the time, just… well done man. it took me way too long to find out the names of the two songs that were mashed up into "Downsides" I knew the songs, and that the first one was either related to the spy or medic, and that the second song was the song that played right outside jevil's prison, right before his boss fight in Deltarune, but i didn't know the names until a lot of google searches and repeatedly using the "Ok Google, what is this song?" feature after all that, I finally figured out the names are Heart to Heart, (or maybe Archimedes, they are very similar) and The Circus
D: The whole video. It would have been a lot to make an entire video and *one* original composition for it. Just, damn. Packed full of little references and quotes too (And some interesting covers/arrangements). But like seriously wow this is good. I don’t think a lot of people would have clocked that these were all original if not for this video (I sure didn’t) so serious props on the quality and cleanness from what I can now hear is mostly standard quality digital instruments (ofc with that sweet piano skill thats visible in the knifes reflection [which itself has an insane amount of quality for a detail like that in a side video]). All of it helps create this suspenseful, jazzy vibe that not only serves the video so well but is just some of the most Spy TF2 music I’ve ever heard. The balance between the more hollow sounding pieces and the way something like the end of reward uses fuller sounds and more instruments is just wonderful. Also the funkier bonus track is a real fun addition.
You are an extremely impressive and inspiring creator. The music, the editing and most important to me the writing you do. The way your string together your script and have your way with words is nothing short of stellar. Hats off to you, good sir.
