I’ve always been skeptical of these type screens for having an easily portable second monitor that I can use when on the move. I feel comfortable pullin* the trigger on this now! Thanks sir!
My wife was just saying that she would like a second screen for work. She has a MacBook Air and this just might do the trick. The hdmi port will be useful too.
I prefer the one with the straps... (bad joke) Laptop hinges are like the weakest point of the device, what kind of stress does this put on the screen joint (if any)? Can you close the laptop with it still connected or do you have to remove it when you're done? Sorry for the questions, but this looks like something I might want to get for someone for xmas.

Remove when done. Thanks to the kickstand on the back, I believe stress is minimal
