This is a great video guide! I would say another useful tip is to have the healers use angel snack right before both timestops since the HoT also stays during timestop AND heals people during it, making the damage so much more manageable.
Damn, I knew I forgot something. I'll just pin this comment instead of re-uploading. :) Angel's Snack is definitely super nice for extra safety during Time Stops.
Fun fight, a much needed victory lap after the brutal fight that was A8S. (Although I personally really enjoyed progging A8S, felt satisfying) 10:04 dats me!
Nothing will ever prepare new players nowadays for the butt-clenching horror of the pre-devour-change spears-buster-spears in between the two temporal stasis. the 15 second window where your tank lived or died by server ticks on your pom cures
Yeah there was always a lot of panic, especially post-Time Stop where you _have_ to get hit by at least one Spear. Addle helped a bit but everyone goes full clench, anyway.
I know this is a "late" comment, but why even mention Stotram when you have Dragon's Voice (200 potency, 20y) or Hydro Pull (220 potency, same 15y potency as Stotram), and Stotram is only 140 potency? I'm mostly asking due to the Icy Veins written guide only mentioning Stotram and it just made me question "why that when you have 2 way better choices?". That said, Liam or whoever may be reading this comment, thank you for the videos and assistance as this has made going for the Morbol significantly easier!
Stotram has no damage fall-off, it hits every target for 140 potency. 4x140=640, while Hydro Pull would be 220+110x3=550 potency on the four adds. It's a much larger gain on the first set of adds, though.
Hi Liam, do you think we can go as 1 tank 1 healer 6 dps for mimicry ? I m thinking that the only "hard" part would be timegate without healer but this should still be ok ? Thanks for your answer !
@@BlueAcademy Thats fair. I definitely enjoyed A8S for the bit of challenge it presented. But it was just a mess of mechanics. Arguably the fight I hated learning the most. Youre still a champion for getting your Morbol on an alt. Gonna do the Omega raids on it as well?
I've gotten the Kefka clear on my alt, but haven't gotten O4 and O12 with any groups I've filled for (and I'm not looking to do it via static or anything). Maybe as more people do it I'll have more opportunities to join random groups. :)

The sting window is so tight hhhhh
Incredible video as always!
I was the Off tank in my static and this fight was FUN
I love this fight! :D
This was released like a day after my group got our Morbols, but it's a pretty good guide! And middle fingers up for Inception 2.
Your "they will die" has the same energy as Mizzteq's. Ty for the guide!
Such imitation! This was NOT my intention!
"Free trial players without access to level 70 spells."
Well, well, well. So it seems the tables have turned.

@@BlueAcademy that unmitigated spear was always the scariest. Me and my co-healer just had to spam pom cure and pray
got clear today thanks for the guide- mr subzero - moogle

@@BlueAcademyAh fair, gotcha. I knew I was probably missing something. Thank you!
My group just started working on this fight, great timing!
That's awesome! Good luck with the prog!
Was a pain in the ass to clear A8S but we did A12S in 1 night

I think it would be doable, you just might need the tank to heal during time gates with White WInd, or have a DPS do the same (and bring Blood Drain).
Did this change at all because of the stat Squish?
It shouldn't have, no.
@@BlueAcademy Phew, that's a relief. Thanks :)
Definitely the better Alexander raid fight. Better than A8S anyway. 🤣
It's tough for me to choose between them, but I think I actually like A8S just a bit more!
