These are the guys that bridged the gap between Nine Inch Nails and Meahuggah for me when I was about 13. They will always have a special place in my heart.
This is definitely a great Fear Factory starter song, “Timelessness” is one of my favorites from them 🤘🏻🖤
timelessness i think is a bad into song because its so much softer than the rest and f someone thinks its all gonna be like that they wont really know what the band is actuallly like but dnt get me wrong that song is the first to almost bring me to tears i fuckin love fear factory
'Final Exit' by Fear Factory is a must - it's almost beautiful, in a way.
Fear factory was huge in the 90s. I was 15 in 1995 and the original mortal kombat introduced me to "zero signal" from fear factory. That fight scene between Johnny cage and scorpion........ That made me a metal head.
I have two Fear Factory tats and I love that you guys are reacting to them. My second favorite band of all time and I even have a few pictures with Burton C. Bell, that guy is a really cool, nice dude.
Burton is an absolute legend. Very nice guy too.
Haha "I'm Dino Cazares" 😂 i don't know why that was so funny
“cat gimme a paw!!!!”
Fear Factory was my entire musical world for about 3 years back in the early 2000's. I absolutely love that band, and they are still releasing really cool stuff. Re: subgenre, I would slot it a little more into the industrial metal area with their embrace of synthesizers and cool production. This was a GREAT pick by your patron.
Sad that Burton C. Bell left and that Dino is basically trying to keep Fear Factory going with him being the only original member. I highly doubt it will last because he can't carry everything that all of the members contributed to the band.
Nah man, their peak was in the 90's since they were mostly a 90's band. They were so ahead of their time that they get lumped into the nu metal shit of the 2000's
Industrial Metal has always been amazing
Long live FEAR FACTORY
My most favorite band ever. The first time I heard them was in the theater watching the Mortal Kombat movie as Scorpion fought Johnny Cage. I was about 11 or so, at the time.
(They just released a single a little while ago. I'm not sure if the entire original band made it or not, though.)
The Obsolete album was awesome not only because of the music, but because the CD's insert/booklet had a vignette for nearly every song to sort of set the tone as you listened. As a younger kid/teen, that blew my mind.
I saw Fear Factory when they opened for Slayer in 1998 at Worcester, Massachusetts Palladium Center. Still the best live show I've ever seen. Killgore Smudge was there too, but I missed them sadly arriving a bit late.
Hell yeah! I was at that same show. Unbelievable performance by everyone that night.
Was there also. Awesome.
great throwback, just that FF groove is heavy and keeps you headbanging, sucks to see the departure of Burton. C. Bell. never be the same.
Even though the newest album is bittersweet that it's the last of Burton, but goddamn he kills it.
My dudes, greatest band of all time. Burton c Bell was such a monster of a vocalist back in the day. Very underrated band
Thanks for doing this guys, glad your still enjoying my requests. i have plenty more waiting for you :)
Burton C Bell has a great voice. His work on Geezer Butler's first GZR album Plastic Planet was great. Fear Factory made a cover of Cars by Gary Numan. He was featured in the video. Great stuff
Saw fear Factory 3 times in the 90's and met Dino twice. Twas but a teen.
Edgecrusher by Fear Factory is an epic jam
Geeat song! Also like Descent (i think) off the same album.
Fear Factory's biggest song ironically. It's one of their few songs constructed for mainstream radio play, etc. It's actually a poor representation of what they originated in the early 90s, and what they truly have to offer as musicians, but it's a fun listen and like what was stated, fit well for the times of its release.
FF, with some research and listening, is responsible for a whole new genre of 'metal' that is basically the blueprint for metal today.
Proper nostalgia for me too man.
I caught these guys live a couple of times and was a bit disappointed. Still a great band. For heavy, Meshuggah were the best band I've ever witnessed live. My first show after the pandemic and all that. Absolutely steamrolled everyone over. Bonus, I had my son with me and now he's a fan of good music. Still drifts into some dodgy shit now and then, but he loves Fear Factory too, so I'm a success as a parent I reckon. Right. Cheers from the South of 🏴🇬🇧
Great song choice to review
Absolutely LOVE Fear Factory. They took the place of Metallica as my favorite band years back. Now unfortunately their future is uncertain.
man this been my song for year's! just was listening!
If u want more metal and I know u guys had to play them on here but what about some old school Mushroomhead. Song like Sun Doesn’t Rise.
Police state 2000 is a jam by them

This is the most 'pop' song from FF, in my opinion. Great, but it lacks a bit of aggressiveness and punch.
Cool.
Early 2000's? Nah, they fell off in the early 2000's and didn't really come back until the 2010's. Their first album "Soul of a New Machine" came out in 1992. They got big with their second album "Demanufacture," which had the song "Zero Signal" prominently featured in 1995's Mortal Kombat movie. Then they followed it up with their third album (and second most famous after Demanufacture) called "Obsolete" in 1998. These guys are a 90's Industrial Metal band through and through. I like Linchpin, but it's from their fourth album "Digimortal" where they for some reason started trying to be like the other Nu Metal bands at the time, and while it saw success, it also caused a rift in the band and they split up for a long time. In fact, the original lineup hasn't been together since then. It was just Dino and Burton with their comeback album "Mechanize" in 2010 and as of now (2023) it's JUST Dino. It's just a game of musical chairs or revolving door (whatever metaphor you want to use) for the other band members. It worked for a while, but now with Burton gone, I don't see Fear Factory ever sounding like Fear Factory again. This band is as much Burton's vocal style as it is Dino's riffs and guitar tone.
Try my dying bride the dreadful hours live
Harry Mack
Slave Labor React please.
Little Mix: Power
Little Mix: Shout Out To My Ex
P!NK: Just Give Me a Reason
P!NK: F**kin Perfect
I'm gonna get slated for this but I've never heard of this band. It was decent. Kind sounded like a harder version of P.O.D.
I've never heard of them either
POD? lol
One of their most boring songs from one of their most boring albums. Listen to anything off Demanufacture, Obselete, Genexus, Mechanize or Agression Continunum
Most boring fear factory song you could react to archetype is the one that shows who the band is
So many good fear factory songs you could have chosen, and you chose linchpin 🤦♂️
Cause it's a fan favorite they always play it at shows
This song blows
React to DANCING WITH THE DEVIL
