It’s also important to remember that crochet cannot be replicated by machines! There are knitting machines, but no crochet machines, so that means every piece of crocheted clothing is handmade. It’s fine to prefer one over the other, but just as much effort was put into the one that the model is wearing, if it truly is crochet that is.
@@judalea17 riggr I know. I crochet I wanted to learn knitting but the needles were not friends with my fingers, and so I learned how to loom 😂. I'm try it tho
The fact that you made that freehand is much more impressive than just following a pattern. Especially since you've never made a sweater, but you were able to get it to just the right size for yourself. It looks great!
if you use cotton yarn it breathes better! acrylic will smother you quick lmao. i use cotton for blankets that don’t have a lot of holes to let air move
Yes I made this mistake when I made a tank top I was dying afterwards but I’m using acrylic for my blanket rn but I’m just doing double crochet for most of it so it has wholes it also gets really cold here anyways
I used to not be able to follow patterns and would only follow tutorials. Until I had to make a baby romper, and I only saw a picture of it on Google, and I made it without any idea of what I was doing. Came out way better than the original, and everyone loved it! I just wing it at this point... also learned to read patterns. I love seeing this being done, following no pattern, and just eyeballing it.
how. just how. you did like a tube like thing, then another tube like thing, then another tube like thing, and suddenly: pretty sweater??!?!?!! you MUST be some sort of witch 😍😍
That is so cute I’m literally loving it. I make things sometimes without patterns and they end up OK but sometimes they just end up awful but you did a really good job for not having a pattern.❤
You are so talented. I tried to make a scarf a couple of times, by the time I was done, one end was about triple the size of the other. Both of my grandmothers could knit, and crochet. I really should have listened when I was younger
So cute! And I continue to love this gen's ability to problem solve from a fashion photo. I started with patterns and have had to learn how to see projects in that looser, go with it/make it work kinda way.
Love it! I never use patterns either. My mom tried showing me how when I was a little girl, but it made me hate the craft. So, like you, I found something I liked and replicated it with my own flare
I'm crocheting a top. It's the first time I ever crocheted and I only watched one tutorial for a few minutes to know how crocheting works at all and one how to make cups otherwise it's completely freestyled. And thanks to you I just found out that that's not the normal way to make smt... Thank you for that
So impressive! I have been crocheting for 16 years and have never been balsy enough to do something like that. I don't think I have the "vision" to figure it out. But you made the process look so achievable (and much less complicated than I would make it).
very cute. now you have to write out the pattern and make another with the written pattern to see if it came out the same. You are an inspiration to other young designers.
The talent! I can’t make anything without following a pattern
I can’t make anything at all lol
Even with patterns, it's difficult
For me i can't read pattern
@@lae_chan_phyoSame. While crochet patterns are easier to read than knitting I still just design/make up my own pattern. It's a lot easier.
Me either 😭
You free styled this!!?? I could never. You’re so talented
Agreed!!!
The fact that yours looks far better than that models did is amazing
subjective
To each their own I guess
i mean they’re like two completely different sweaters. models had lots of flower detailing and was loose and she made a plain sweater that was tight.
Um yeah no.
Crochet and knitting are my two greatest loves, HOW DID I NOT KNOW YOU COULD COMBINE THEM TOGETHER!!!
knitted ribbing looks way better than crocheted ribbing (not that I've done any in crochet, it'd just be easier to knit it, I think)
@@judalea17 I have looms so I think I'm going to loom the ribbing and crochet the rest
@@uyvonnescott1945 looming is just knitting but not on needles, so yes, it would basically give the same result - go for it!
@@judalea17 riggr I know. I crochet I wanted to learn knitting but the needles were not friends with my fingers, and so I learned how to loom 😂. I'm try it tho
I do it all the time! Just a tip: it’s easier to knit ribbing first, then crochet into it.
The fact that you made that freehand is much more impressive than just following a pattern. Especially since you've never made a sweater, but you were able to get it to just the right size for yourself. It looks great!
if you use cotton yarn it breathes better! acrylic will smother you quick lmao. i use cotton for blankets that don’t have a lot of holes to let air move
yeah i only use acrylic for a garment if i need it to be super toasty lol!
Yes I made this mistake when I made a tank top I was dying afterwards but I’m using acrylic for my blanket rn but I’m just doing double crochet for most of it so it has wholes it also gets really cold here anyways
I'm thinking about making a cotton blanket for summer, because for some strange reason I've always needed a big blanket even in summer.
I used to not be able to follow patterns and would only follow tutorials. How did you type my thought!!?!? 😂it was just a tube thing with a tube thing then poof a lovely sweater
That is literally one of the cutest knit sweaters I have ever seen in my entire life
that’s incredible! it takes a lot of confidence and skill to just fucking go with it the way you did damn
I LOVE winging it. I "try" to write a patrern down as I go.....but sometimes, it's a one and done sort of deal. Truly one lf a kind! 😁
No way you have never made a sweater before. No way! It is beautiful… and you made it seem like the easiest thing ever.
My jaw is on. the. FLOOR. That is so cute and I cannot believe you just decided to wing it without a pattern. That is amazing!
I am so happy to see someone combining knitting and crochet!
Please do a full video on how you made this sweater. It looks really cute. ❤❤❤
Holy shit, you're a wizard.
I love it 😻
Tutorial please 🥺
Omg yes please 😍😍 I can’t in my wildest dreams imagine how you made the body part! I LOVE it
I like the finished product so much better than your reference picture. Good work! 🤍
could you please drop a tutorial for this? it's so amazing!!
I'm so surprised it's so good! The color pops so well! And yes, the sillouhette is stunning too!
Wow, I was not expecting the end look, cute!!
Areee youu kidding meee??? That is the cutest thing everrrr and the colorrrr ughh i love ittt
Super impressive that you can do that without a pattern.
That is so cute I’m literally loving it. I make things sometimes without patterns and they end up OK but sometimes they just end up awful but you did a really good job for not having a pattern.❤
Girl it is gorgeous! Excellent work!
I learn better without a pattern too!! It makes me piece it together like a puzzle!
I love it. It’s so cute. If you want a little random comment there is a way to crochet ribbing. I love everything about what you made.
Yeah and it's easier to make the sleeves from the ribbing and up without having to sew the 2 parts together
she seems like she knows there is a way to crochet ribbing lol. maybe she just likes the look of knit better
yeah but crochet ribbing can be tighter and pucker when attaching to the sleeve
I love the honesty! From the "I don't follow the patterns" through "I've never finished a sweater " and "half-a**ing it" to "it's uncomfortably warm"
u r very creative.....
I’ve never related to something and someone more lmao, you’re a whole vibe and v glad you showed up on my feed
The Waffle House has found its new host
Beautiful styling! Incredible vision and execution! You’re a natural. 🦋
My spirit animal. Following a pattern takes all the relaxation out of it for me. I should try this!
No pattern ... magnifique 😻 !!! Très réussi , très beau !!!
You are so talented. I tried to make a scarf a couple of times, by the time I was done, one end was about triple the size of the other. Both of my grandmothers could knit, and crochet. I really should have listened when I was younger
I think the Sweater is a work of art, you are amazing, you see something and you make it your own.
Wow! 😀Girl, you're so darn Talented!
It's the fact that you are so good at estimating the sizing that you made it perfectly for yourself. Props to you
So cute!
And I continue to love this gen's ability to problem solve from a fashion photo. I started with patterns and have had to learn how to see projects in that looser, go with it/make it work kinda way.
I don't follow patterns either because of laziness!!! Awesome work!!!!
Inspiring me to fuckin’ wing it every day ✨ you make crafting seem so carefree and enjoyable
this girl is an absolute ICON.
Girl!!!!!! Do you know how talented you are!!!???
I can't believe you can adlib a sweater. It's super cute.
Beautiful. I've gotten to the point where I don't follow patterns much anymore. It gets interesting but I don't get bored 😁
This is literally a ✨ vibe ✨ for me...
OMG THATS SO PRETTY!!!!! I adore that blue color!!!!!! It looks perfect on youuu
Love it! I never use patterns either. My mom tried showing me how when I was a little girl, but it made me hate the craft. So, like you, I found something I liked and replicated it with my own flare
that's amazing that you don't have to use a pattern. it turned out so cute. hopefully i will get there one day.
Can’t be doubting your skills homie
I love the blue color, the length of the cuffs on the sleeves and how it turned out. Good job!
Wow. I admire those that can crochet with out a pattern. 😊
I'm almost mad that you have the ability to do that, especially freehand. You are very skilled, and I am very jealous. 🙇♀️
I really would love a pattern 🥺 , love how it turned out!
You have SERIOUS talent.
it's literally so cute!!! u should make a pattern for us who can't wing it to so we can make ur design 🥺
As a result of being a crocheter I amend to to say that you are the most talented person I have ever seen
Very nice results color looks great on you.
Save your creation for colder regions 🥶❄
I loved the vest without the sleeves even better🥹😭
OMG IT’S SO ADORABLE and the color is GORGEOUS
The vest part looked so good

Bro that’s better then I could ever do. It’s such a cute sweater! Goes with your nail color aswell which I think is so cool.
I honestly can't believe how freaking good it turned out
This has inspired me to make something like this, with the sleeves specifically 😂 I LOVE THAT TYPE OF SLEEVE ❤❤❤
girlie im BEGGING!!! PLEASE make a pattern for this beauty 😍😍
So impressive! I have been crocheting for 16 years and have never been balsy enough to do something like that. I don't think I have the "vision" to figure it out. But you made the process look so achievable (and much less complicated than I would make it).
That is so cute! And I'm so glad I'm not the only person who doesn't follow patterns and makes stuff up 😄
It’s cute without the sleeves too!!!
That color as well, stunning!🌟
why is that so cute i was expecting 👕with long

Wow your so talented love how it turned out. Keep doing you boo.❤️
i like yours better since it's a little fitted around the waist. you did amazing job!!

I’ve often thought about free-styling a sweater! I might do that this winter! Yours is AWESOME!!
That's awesome!! I wouldn't be able to do something like this without finding a video on what clothes I like and crocheting by instruction😂😂.
Everthing you do looks so good
U got some serious talent girl
this takes a lot of experience! props to her
Wow I can’t imagine making something without a pattern!
I think its rlly cool how its both knitted and crocheted
It looks AMAZING!!! 😍😍 Oh my goodness! I love it! The V neck, tight waist line, collar & sleeve shape! Beautiful work sis ✨️
