  • Me playing for Rings Of Saturn live 8/25/18 at Regency Ballroom in San Francisco on the RageFest tour with Cross Your Fingers, Spite, Rings Of Saturn, Volumes, Suicide Silence, and Attila. Sorry the triggers are a little loud. I forgot to multitrack the audio so it all ended up on one big audio file instead of separated into 2 different ones.

    before you get your hopes up, this is live music. Of course there will be mistakes, that's just how it is. I like to call it character.

      Yes. I play single strokes as well, but for Rings MOST of it is heel toe. When I play Seized and Devoured I use all single strokes. The Relic I use singles for some of the double bass parts if I feel okay

    • @MikeCaputo
      @MikeCaputo  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It's 16th note triplets, so it's in time. Just like developing your muscles to play quickly and accurately, you need to also develop your ear to hear and process faster speeds accurately. That's a major part of why a lot of people can't jump into the deep end of extreme music right away, they can't HEAR that quickly yet (if that makes sense)

      I meant no disrespect, bro. I'm sure you have put alot of hard work into your playing, especially to be able to play with Rings. More power to you! I tend to forget that a live performance doesn't always sound exactly like what gets laid down in the studio, and from personal experience, playing live shows brings a whole new element to sitting down behind the kit. Big props for your spot with Rings.
