She also needs to be in a specific location in 21x so that might be part of it. But yeah 21 apparently makes it really hard to get units kidnapped in an LTC.
I get why Dean leaves if she dies, but you'd think he'd stick around when she gets captured so he can rescue her. Interesting how you swiped his Dragonpike as well. I assume that's for selling? Because otherwise I don't see a purpose in keeping it. Anyway it'll be fun to see everyone come back, even though a good chunk of them probably won't be contributing much at this point. Machua and Brighton are probably too low to do much, but then again, perhaps they're still better than Robert/Callion/Kane/Alva.

Yeah the Dragonpike will not have any particular use later on, let's just say that it's in memory of his contribution to the army.
