She returned to help him film this.
Bibi had helped him with gofundmes for his correct diagnosis.
Bobi is a tattoo artist now. She did sing with him in Ahiahiahio. On the same album.
The last edgy vocal was just Ren and it was beautifully on the ragged edge, great spot dude.

It was freezing cold when they filmed this outside, with Ren nearly naked, this was an ordeal.
Bibi was his then-girlfriend who organized the first fundraiser for Ren's treatment.
Crutch is meant to show the hellish times a significant other will go through trying to help a seriously ill lover.

I was wondering how the shift in the song would be received, but Izzy, amazingly intuited the tonal shift; I certainly didn't upon first encounter with this piece. That's the mark of a musician understanding a musician's mind.

Thank you for this reaction. Crutch is one of my absolute favourite Ren songs yet it sadly doesn’t get anywhere near as much attention as it deserves. It’s the perfect expression of fear and agony in lyrics, vocals, music, and even the video. And never has distortion sounded so emotional! Just heart wrenching and stunning 🖤 🐰🕳️

Without reading comments, Yes that was Ren singing. My interpretation of this piece Was yellow lighting was his pain and blue was his psychological symptoms. And this was filmed with no budget in a very cold setting. Ren was just released from a hospital visit and was far from well. Got to be the passion in him. I hear and see it in all of his music, it drew me in like a moth to light !! Thank's for the reaction I enjoy watching them !!

Ren has done amazing things since making this song and submitted to over a year of alternative treatment in Canada to minimize the impact of some of the damage done to his brain and body from years of untreated Lyme disease. He looks so physically fit and is putting out so much incredible music but he may have to deal with some of his symptoms for a long time. ❤
Here's hoping he makes as full of a recovery as possible.
You are so good at spotting details in both vocals, video and music. Quite a different approach to most reactors. Very nice reaction and thoughts about this song 🤩 The perspectives of them both in this song is unusual too ("if I lose my mind I'd be so ashamed if you witnessed") and you get an insight into how devastating it can be for both the sick person and the partner/friend/family member.

This is one of my favourite songs / videos. It is ART! ..... But also it hits me like a sledge hammer everytime i watch it. I can relate to this song - splitting up with a partner/ wife, The fear of lossing a partner, all because of something medical causing pain on every level (physical and mental).......... I think it was filmed in October, very cold out. Really captures pain, despair, and finally psychosis. They parted ways for mental health reasons. Can't put my finger on it, but I really appreciate your take on music. Thanks Izzy!

Afaik she does no more music. Ren and Bibi split up as he explains in "Chapter 4" or "Chapter 5" (or both?) because of his long absences while focussing on touring clubs to follow his dream of getting discovered as a musician combined with losing most of his life energy to the illness.
Yes they were even engaged to be married. He loved her so much.

Good point you’re really only running from yourself and sooner or later you have your face the music. We’ve All been there! I stopped herb and shrooms years ago, so where does meaning come from, and would life be pointless without it, are way too deep of questions for me to wrap my head around in a normal state of mind. Excellent question though. I really love this song and video and the fact that Wynn was in his mid 20s when he made it if not younger, goes to show his musical genius and talent. I really have to rack my brain to think of another artist that I can recall, having as much talent that I was excited about as I am about him. And then, when you add his health situation, you have to figure that he’s been operating under less than optimal conditions. So whatever the next decade holds as long as his health continues to improve and doesn’t regress I think we are really in for some Amazing pieces of art. I guess I have to go all the way back to Prince. It’s really really remarkable. I believe within the next couple years he’ll become a global icon if his body holds up.

The second part of this reminds me of Pixies in both the vocals and guitar, and I know Ren is a Pixies fan so maybe there is a bit of influence there. Either way, you're right about it having an edge to it... it's haunting and harrowing.

She has her own albums
She only sang one more song with Ren, "Ahiahiahohah" then moved quite a distance away and became a very good tattoo artist. Not sure who you are thinking about but Bibi does not make music albums. Even Eden Nash only has mostly cover songs so I don't even know if she has any albums.

I always find this one hard to watch and listen to although I am finding it easier lately. Yeah, the cinematography is magnificent and the performance is typically stunning.

The punch line in this song is in the last few seconds. It only really makes sense as a whole. In this case, the minutia misses the message. One of my favorite's of Ren's songs.
Wow, I must've watched more than 30 or 40 reactions to this video and it's the first time anyone has mentioned the opening shots looking like planets with a star in the background, but I can 100% see why you might think that. I like what you said about religion a lot ! I think there are many of us in that same exact spot. One thing I wanna say about rent is, he has his uncanny ability to make you feel like you are actually in the room with him. I don’t know if it’s the lyrics or his acting or the cinematography, but most of his live videos I feel that way.. perhaps it’s because most of them are shot in one take and makes it more realistic? I’m not sure, but I love that about his music videos.
It's nice, I would say it has to do with presence, though beyond that I'm not too sure.
Love this reaction and how calmly and smoothly you went through it and shared your thoughts as it went. In my head I'm visualizing you in a velvet smoking jacket with a cigar or pipe in front of a wood fireplace with the embers glowing! Sure you can have the guitars at the side of the fireplace that would look epic as well.

Good spot Nina! But it was intentionally Son. I was trying to play on the words and add the religious connotation. So instead of the Sun will rise; the Son will rise, as in The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit.. I am the resurrection and all that kind of stuff.

It shoots you with the clashing of opposing frequencies that are uncomfortable to listen to. Manic and screaming for help.
