Ren posted once that he did this video because he was dealing with so much fear that his girlfriend at the time, Bibi, would leave him due to all of his health issues. He said he was very self-conscious about all the weight he had lost because he was so sick, so he decided to just showcase that in the video as a way of coping.
Wow. Yeah, that was intense. Thanks for taking the time to react while on vacation. Was it really 4 minutes??? That's one of the things I've noticed about Ren's work is that there's so much movement and it draws you in so deeply so that you're on the edge of your seat wondering where this is going, because NOTHING he does is predictable, so a 9 minute video or a 4 minite video goes by so quickly, and a 2.5 min video has so much packed into it that its over too soon, but still feels like it could have been twice as long and still kept you engaged.
Bibi was his real girlfriend at the time. Somewhere I heard him say he had just gotten out of the hospital not too long before, for a mental breakdown. He wanted to make this video while it was still fresh in his mind, so they did it, even though it was freezing outside.
This song always gets to me. I think it shows the romantic idea of sticking by somebody who is suffering, just wiping away a few tears, and then the nightmare reality of the crippling weight of supporting someone through crisis 😢😢
This is one of my favorite songs. It makes me cry just seeing him so thin and knowing how much he had gone through. I take the end that she disappeared but he is on his feet so even if she wasn't there anymore she helped him.
I just want to say how important reactors are for me. I am 47 years old and from Austria, native language german. So ist is often very hard to understand every Lyrics in a song. Especialy with Ren with all the double and trippel meaning. And when you reactors make the breakdown from lyrics it makes it so much easier to get the meaning. Thank you. I discovered Ren in February. Before I only watched maybe one reaction Video in month. But since Ren, I watch reactions to Ren's music instead of films, series or news shows after work for relaxing, because I want to know what he have to say. I will give you a sample: Rene song "Loosing it" there is this Lyrics: "I'm about to go beast mode I'm about to go Macbeth" How should I get this double meaning with out reactors? MacBeth from Shakespeare OK. But Paul McBeth best discgolf player who activated "Beast Mode" in his game. How should I know without you reactors? Thank you
Aww I love to hear this Mario. Thank you for this comment. I totally understand what you mean. It’s even hard for us who speak native English to understand sometimes. And I also know what you mean from Rammstein. Before I lived in Zurich, I was clueless about German. After I learned to speak German, I started to understand MUCH more of Rammstein. (Although, I don’t know if that’s a good thing with their lyrics! Haha). So I’m glad you find value in us. I’m sorry I don’t pause to break down lyrics and such…I’ve considered doing more in-depth reactions on Patreon…but right now, I enjoy not pausing the video and getting a real “first take” of the song as a whole. I was waiting for the metalish sound to kick in. This is the only song I've heard him go there on. It's a stunning song. I struggled to get through it the first few times. But I do love ther simplicity in the beginning and the base when she comes in sounds like a heartbeat to me, then the all out chaos at the end he is just amazing and never gives less then 20K%. @MoanHugs&ArmourKnee I love COTM as well. Funny story, the entire time I've been in the Renverse everytime I see a reaction to that one the reactor and myself are like, "Awe... Baby Ren"... it wasnt until the other day I finally noticed the release date did some math, and felt like a dummy, cause, "Awe that is a Grown a$$ Man Ren." Good news for him though I spent 6 months thinking he was like 17 or 18 at the time. Lol
That was working on so many levels, but i was blown away by that beautiful photography we saw in that video, I have worked in Nursing for 32 years, 20 of them in spinal injuries, and i have seen just how much pain can overwhelm a relationship. People are just not signed up for this, it no fault of theirs, they just don't know how to help. as ever an excellent reaction young sir.
This song and video is so heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. The video itself is stunning, the orange & black mix is gorgeous. Ren had just come out of hospital with his mental health when he did this and he was really underweight too. You can tell he was freezing in this, it’s done so well you can see all his goosebumps and hair on his skin. Nice reaction 🖤
Amazing and so sad. It looks like that light source is some kind of heat register so he wouldn't freeze. Smart. What he must have been going through and just not getting the answers or the help. Thankfully finally got some answers and hopefully lots of help. We need Ren, he is very important to everyone.

This was at the height of his illness, just before he got the correct diagnosis of Lyme Disease/stem cell treatments which improved his health. Bibi was his girlfriend at the time. A tough one to watch.

Rens musical compositions are amazing. He plays, mixes and produces all of it. That piano interlude is haunting.
