If someone is searching "clear system data' then it usually means that all of what you mentioned they have done. I'm looking for solutions to how to clear the rest of it AFTER you have done EVERYTHING there is to be done.:) I suspect that newerr ios versions flood my cache on purpose as to force me to buy a new phone as this one is so filled up that I have to erase and recover from backup every week only to clear this system data part. I encourage you to investigate. You'd be the first to solve it:)

There is a bug where system data keeps filling up and causes the device to go into respring loop
Mine has been doing that and my phone is constantly slower than normal and whenever i delete stuff my system data decides to go up. Do you have any other info on this bug or if apple are trying to fix it?
@@Bailey.Holohan I removed all of my videos from the phone deleting majority of the storage, I also turned of share analysis with apple which also cleared some space

I’ve been getting that a *lot* on my iPad and iPhone. Nearly every day. Do you mean when it’ll randomly go to a black screen with a spinning gear then flash the Lock Screen a few times?
I hope you can answer this question. I was actually trying to clear up my ipad. The system data before was adound 16gb and when i started deleting applications, pictures and videos. The system data went 23gb. Instead of lowering it, it increases the storage
Since i downloaded the beta version my system data has always been on 30 gb i downloaded the official ver but it’s still 30 gb (sorry for my bad grammar)

Why do I have 9GB system files in my phone? Because I have already installed a beta update, then the official update came. Do I have to configure so that I only have the current operation system. Do updates accumulate?

i would recommend to delete the cache, alot of apps have it but not every app, its usually in the settings in the app

What I ended up doing is backing up my phone to my computer, then wiped my phone completely, restored the back up and boom, 15gb of system data cleared! Important note tho, if you choose to encrypt the backup or have encrypted backups in the past make sure you know that password as there is no way to restore If you forget it

I literally i am forced to only have 1 app. My photos are 6gb on a 32gb phone. Guess what the rest is... 20gb of other data and 5gb of the system so im literally only using 1/5th of the given storage. Everytime i delete something "other" fills up that space.
Would flashing the iphone help? I dont want to update the software... and flashing usually forces you to update because apple decides to unsign previous firmware that is not even that old of firmware. Im stuck. I think i have no other option but to back up and reset the iphone.

If you have telegram on your phone and it says it’s taking up 5 GB or so, it could actually be taking up like 50 or 100 GB in actuality. The iPhone isn’t accurate in the numbers. I had 165GB in system data. Once I deleted telegram it dropped to 0.
The telegram has its built-in clear cache option in the settings. I hope all of the apps have that setting. :(

Good morning and thank you. Slight problem. Trying to remove apps completely I pressed down on app for minus sign, didn’t work. I went to App Store and my offload unused apps is already enabled. I tried to disable and re enabled and still can not remove apps I no longer want. Hope you can help and thank you. Mark

Is it possible to jailbreak an Apple Watch?
I just recently noticed that HBO Max and TH-cam app takes a lot of storage that doesn't make sense. HBO was taking more than 10 gigs. Had to erase and reinstall it. "Off load" did not help.

So I am having a big issue, all my music was lossless files on apple music, and the settings for it had an option to convert it to normal files, and i did that and it deleted the lossless files and replaced them with normal ones, but then it sent all 25 gb of lossless files to system data and idk how to delete that all

iPhone storage takes forever to load on my iPhone XR. I have updated it to latest iOS 15.2.1 but this issue is still there. Any idea on how to fix this?

My phone is offloading data automatically (data not apps) , for example every time I open a game it requires 1G data download and if I closed it and open again It requires the 1G download again
It always shows a loading screen when I go to iPhone storage...(think it's some kind of bug) and I'm not able to offload apps anymore :( how can I solve it?
Do force reboot.. vol up vol down and then press and hold power key till apple logo appears
i found a method which worked it was offloading every single app i had i went from 28gb to 11gb, hope this helps

When it comes to messages. I have messages enabled under iCloud so shouldn't that data go onto iCloud instead of taking up space on my phone? I've noticed that messages take up almost 1GB of my phones storage alone. System data goes from everything between 29GB and 40GB on my 64GB total storage which is really annoying..
@Squtzy I think it is the new system update. My whole family is having the same issue. I have deleted basically everything on my phone and in 2 hours it took up even more storage.

I used to have about 50GB on system data , almost same like your situation, I did a iCloud back up and restore it back to less than 8GB in system data
We get it you backed it up now, how did you "restore" it? step by step please.

Factory Reset your phone
If you have an iPhone that still gets software updates still supported by Apple don’t keep it on order software it will start to get buggy and slow down and have problems and do weird stuff but there are those weird moments where your iPhone does weird stuff in it needs a factory reset to fix it I’ve had that stuff happen and it’s not just a quick fix of just rebooting your phone I had that happen to it required a whole factory reset and set back up
Also I have an iPhone 12 pro max yours is still supported recommend updating if you haven’t already
Mine glitched it’s normally at 11.50gb but then randomly jumps to 13.98 but goes back down eventually is this normal
it can be a bug try restarting your iphone to see what happends maybe it might fix the problem
How did you get 256GB? I only have 64GB and the only storage I can upgrade is ICloud storage
Some people have 256 gb versions, the storage versions are 64/128/256

Please help my phone is 256gb I’m shocked that yesterday all my apps it always updated like I updated it now then later I’ll will need to update again so I check my storage it says that 250 out of 256gb usage. That is useful information! Is there a way to back up to the cloud and free up space on your phone at the same time? I take a lot of photos not every day but when I do have a situation where I need to take a bunch of photos, I always wonder how much space I can free up by backing up the photos and removing them from the camera roll.

I checked my storage, it was 13.2 gb out of 16 gb.
After the update I saw it took more iPhone storage to 13.7 , around 500 mb more...

i had 127 GB out of 128 GB and most of it was system data and when i shut down and restarted my ipad my storage shrunk from 127 GB to 51 GB
Trick:
Free up storage in photos by getting Google photos. It clears your gallery but saves it all to Google photos
