100% agreed. I've had my back and forths with SVU because sometimes is like they use and reuse the same plot and it gets so tiresome. But mostly is the lack of character “development” in terms of their relationships and the continuity. It's exhausting trying to invest in a storyline that would go nowhere. HOWEVER, Benser and Stabler's interactions, with miserable small little details, make everything thousand percent more interesting. It's something about the way they complement each other, idk, it's just... It works.

You can see Liv's face soften up in anticipation of "the look" and you can see that Elliot was surprised and taken aback from "the look" too. AND even the music swells up a little bit at that moment too. He knew what she meant.

He was more hoping that his old partner out of loyalty would help him out. She thinks she has a romantic hold over him but doesn't realise that he never cared for her that way. When he said i hear you it was about the fact that high level police are telling her to stay away.

Stabler the character is not the same character he was. Christopher is showing deep growth in this character that WE ALL LOVE. MELONI SHOWS US EXACTLY THE EMOTIONAL ROLLER COASTER THAT STABLER IS GOING THROUGH. ITS HONEST AND ITS RAW. ITS PAINFUL.

I feel like SVU and OC complement each other so beautifully. SVU is the classic episodic storytelling that we've had since forever, still focusing primary in the victims and addressing the big topics etc. But in OC we finally can see the characters struggles and developments with due time. It's so wonderful and I really, really hope that we get to see domestic Olivia in OC Season 2 🤞🏽
Yes👏👏👏they're doing so well with everything. The plot, music, character archs, acting, camerawork, writing and just everything all woven together in BOTH shows is really really well done and working out. Im so excited and happy for it.
The shows is basically Benson and Stabler. Like svu brings the justices and voice for victims (which is liv) and OC brings the butt kicking (which is El).
I knew when kathy died the show was going to go where they never could with benson and stabler. It's sad that kathy died, and if they allow them to get together know it will end abruptly and sour because it will be born of grief. It will take a long way for them to come together naturally.

The way l see it is with Benson begging Stabler stop this obsession for justice, is going to be catalyst for Stabler to get justice on his own. Knowing that Benson fears the worst for him, Stabler knows he cannot put his ex partner in the line of fire cause she has a good life already a job that gives her satisfaction in many ways and most importantly her son Noah. Stabler would be crushed if anything happens to liv and it would be on his hands.
I am not a big fan of a Stabler/Benson romance, but I came up with a theory why Elliot left along with the other reasons. He started to have romantic feelings for Olivia and left to keep from crossing that line. He loved Cathy and did it for his family.

We waited 10 years.....Kathy died and then he goes to another woman.....again I give up, the writers and probably Chris and Mariska don’t what El and Liv to get together. I stopped watching SVU when Stabler left and last night would be my last again. I don’t care if I don’t get to see the end of OC, I refuse to allow them to play with my heart strings ever again.
