No sales till now..uploade 60 designs in last 2.5 months Will be focusing on uploading more good designs and hoping to get a sale before the year ends.
I’m thinking of starting this from scratch but I don’t have a TH-cam or any big social accounts. My only edge is having been in digital marketing for 20 years. I’m going to create similar videos but from an absolute newbie. I’m designing a bunch of merch to see if it is worth it but looking at the analytics daily to inform actions etc. similar to what you’re doing. So you have any videos showing the type of marketing you did on each platform to drive sales then share what worked and what didn’t and how you adapt based on analytics. Either way, Great video! I just subscribed.
I don't have many videos on marketing... I have a few Amazon Ads videos and I have a videos on posting on social media like Instagram. I think if you did marketing videos for POD that would be awesome. I'm sure many people would like to learn how to do that in a way that doesn't make them lose a lot of money and get more sales.
@@DetourShirts that's really good to hear. I'll do that as I start. I actually almost finished designs using AI but didn't record because there's a lot. I'll definitely focus on the marketing, analysis, and optimisations. Thank you and keep up the great work man.
I would love to see that. Although Juna is honest about how well things are going, his sales are still contributed to many years of designs on these sites as well. It would be great to see if someone can make it work from a day one account.
When you click the 'download earnings' button, look for an error somewhere in the browser. It could be that it is trying to display a pop-up but you have pop-ups blocked.
Thank you, Juna, for sharing your POD activities and results. I have been following you for years, and I learn from you every day. Can you share with us how you store your designs? Do you use any cloud storage?
I recently open a new Teepublic account, uploaded copilot ai design: some pixel art, kawaii, cartoon, anime style (similar to your style since i learnt most of the design skill from Juna). But they categories my account as apprentice. I did follow all your advice for an artisan account criteria. 1. Do you think that’s because of i try out too many styles? 2. Should we upload just 1 style (especially the one that does not look like generated from AI?) during the account opening at that account category review critical stage? Thank you Juna, really needs some insights on this
Hey Juna thanks for the nice video and gratz for the sales. Unfortunately we are not you, i mean you are artisan on TP, if not you are not even searchable.... Same on RB if you are standard account. On Amazon, sure you upload only one design a day, but being YOU its 1 design on all markets and products. On tier 10 or 25 one design and one product on a single marketplace per day! There is no way to compare with you! Thanks again👋
You make a good point. You are right. It's always going to be a little different. I can't really create new accounts for it to be a fair comparison. This is the closest I can get and my designs will be different too. What I really like showing is the comparison with the same designs on different platforms in 2024. I think that is something worth noticing. The point isn't that you will get the same sales as I am because that will always be different.
Great analysis, thank you! Could you help me with something unrelated: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
Hello Juna, I love your videos. I have a question only if you have time. Do you have any information on PODtomatic? Thanks for any information you might have.
Juan, i saw your RB account earned the “featured artist” badge, how and when did you get that? Once you earned the badges, RB will always feature your design on RB? Thanks
Hi Detour Can you make a video to register in T-Public in the correct way that makes the account Artisan after the recent modifications? And recently, when registering, do all accounts become Apprentice and then the category changes? And does this depend on the number of designs or Its quality and how many designs are required to upgrade the account, knowing that I have been working for 8 months to get an Artisan account and I did not get it in the end?
Yes, I am in exactly the same situation as you and have nearly 450 quality designs uploaded on TeePublic and I'm still stuck in Apprentice. It's very disheartening. 😢
It's more about quality. I would suggest that if you can really think about the quality of the designs you upload. They want to see a nice style that people want to buy, around popular topics.
hey Juna, could you pls give some advice on what to include in the title, description, or how you go about your seo in general for new designs to show up in amazon with other listings? Since most of my new designs do not show up even when i type the main keywords from the title in the search bar
Hmmm... I woud definitely but the topic you are designing for in the title, the words that are on the design and what the design is. That is kind of how I come up with the titles. Then use other keywords that relate to your design in the description and bullets.
Yes... I believe it's 30 or so for RedBubble and TeePublic and it would depend on your tier on Amazon what your limit is. Right now at tier 100k I can upload 10,000 a day
could you please upload the designs all in new account so that we also may know how to go to good tier, or artisan . i am stuck on appertance level from 8 months and my designs are around 1200
I would have but the thing is I don't know if I can make 2 accounts on TeePublic. I would say to keep creating designs that people want to buy. Are you getting any sales? I could take a look at your shop
I will never have the confidence or focus to start such a business on my own? How can I be useful to those who started the business yet not getting the results they like? I hate the idea of freelancing. But if I can be a help, not a sucker, to one or two people maybe can have a taste of using art to make a living.
@@DetourShirts appreciate your answer but it's not about quality they don't review anymore, because my design it's good and I am expert designer and artist but I made mistake when I uploaded scalable design, but I deleted and still nothing
They definitely don't want a mass upload of just simple AI created designs. TeePublic can tell if you are just trying to mass upload AI designs. This is why I make sure to use AI in combination with text and good layout.
I'm from America and Teepublic suspended my account before I even had the chance to upload a design. Not sure what I did wrong. I contacted customer service twice and they never responded. I've had my Redbubble and Merch by Amazon accounts for years without any problems.
Sorry to criticize this time, but this calculation of how to get those 5K bucks a month by uploading more doesn’t really work for MBA when you just start out. So recommending this doesn’t exactly help because it’s simply impossible. It might get better from tier 100 upwards, even better tier 1000 upwards, to use that method of uploading more to generate more sales. For beginners on MBA in the low tiers it’s not feasible. All we can do is ask friends and family to buy us out and test designs until 1 or 2 sticks and gets a sale here and there.
It sounds like print on demand is not as lucrative as it used to be or inflation is killing any meaningful profit. Redbubble is not worth the effort, given that they take so much of any profit you could earn. Better to keep your day job or find a better paying side hustle. Maybe it is just the economy and people are holding onto their cash.
I think there are lots of factors. Yes it is more saturated and tougher in 2024. I also think it's because I'm doing random topics and only doing one design a day. I haven't gone back and done a bunch more designs for the ones that are selling well. It's an election year so people are buying that kind of stuff. It's also really early. Print on demand doesn't really pay off until 2-3 years later. It's a very slow process.
Why did you ask us to focus on one platform? Why not design and publish on all the platforms (Merch, Redbubble, Etsy, Teapublic.. etc) Dont you think it's a better strategy?
This is the kind of transparency that is needed in POD. Thanks Juna. This is the real deal and has mostly been my experience so far.
Thanks for the comment
Great video ! I can’t believe you have so many designs on merch and not one rejection! That’s amazing ! well done 👍
Oh... I've had rejections but nothing major... random trademarks I forgot to check

Make more than 1000 quality designs. I know it's not easy, but your real success starts after that number.
The type of designs matter and what topics you are designing for. What POD site are you using?
I think u are right because I have completed 500 designs today on my teepublic store but til no sale😅@@lucifermorningstar-lv3gc

This is great info! Are you doing any paid advertising for these, or did you just upload them to the sites and let buyers find them on their own?

How did you get out of the T10? Did you buy your way out?
I did a little of both... I bought a few and sold a few
Do you need to select a niche in amazon POD or just upload random designs ?
You can start with either... after you figure out what is working though do more of the niche
Just like your Baltimo design, my 1 design sold 31× on teepublic last month Juna.

It's random. They look at designs and assign them if they get lots of sales and if it's something they really think people on their site will like.
