"The right to disassociate with drag queens." My brain immediately went to: going to the club, getting sensory overload, and having a drag queen sit with you to make sure you're okay.
Even if you interpret this as they meant it - "stop associating with drag queens" - it's still weird. Not all drag queens are gay for one thing. And it also conjures up a mental image of a huge army of drag queens all dressed up, just hanging around with straight men, doing nothing "worse" than having a few drinks or watching football in a companionable sort of way. Seems rather sweet and harmless to me.

I love the "We can't have gender neutral bathrooms! What will we tell the children?!?" Argument. "Hey kids, you know how we all use the same bathroom at home? Yeah. Just like that."
I doubt kids would even question it- if anything, they're more likely to ask why everyone uses the same bathroom at home, but at school boys and girls have to use different ones.

Families were Great when tne father was a disciplinarian who terrorized the kids and everyone was forcibly conditioned to conform to narrow norms. They called it freedom, and probably godliness.
I agree with “Make a family great.” Make the family sweet and inclusive to everyone, be friendly and treat everyone with love and respect they deserve. That’s what a great family is. Not this homophobic BS.
"Make the family great again" shouted those that disown, shame, harm, abuse their kids for being who they are without hurting anyone. What a great message indeed. At least now I know why they are against abortions. Why would you need abortions when you see your children as disposable objects that you can destroy and throw away when they do something you don't "agree with"?
I'll never get it. I'm straight. Why would I care what non-straight people do? As long as they aren't forcing me to watch hardcore gay porn, it doesn't affect me at all. I mean, I guess they could sexually assault me, but straight people can do that too, that's not a reason to be anti-gay, that's a reason to be anti-sexual assault.
For real. I always hear it when someone comes out of the closet and there are like 35352344 people saying ‘OH I HoPe YoU DOnT ROpE MEh!!, as if a person of the opposite gender couldn’t do the same thing
@@Scifi4life @Dr Samuel Hayden secret gaming channel by 'being taught it', what is actually happening is 'being taught LGBTQ people EXIST', not that they should be LGBTQ lol. Like I swear straight people will hear that LGBTQ inclusivity is being taught in schools and assume kids are being brainwashed into being gay. NO, they're being taught LGBTQ+ people EXIST, and to be kind and accepting toward them because they're inevitably gonna come across them, or may turn out to be a part of the community themselves. Considering how much bullying there is in school's towards our community, that education is necessary. And last time I checked, kids are allowed to know straight people exist, they're allowed to know their parents are married, and allowed to watch disney movies with heterosexual couples who kiss and get married, and they know that people assigned female at birth can be girls and people assigned male can be boys. They know straight and cis people exist, so why on earth should they not also know LGBTQ+ people exist? There's literally zero explanation for why LGBTQ+ inclusivity should not be taught in school other than literal h0m0ph0bia/transph0bia. There is nothing inherently sexual or inappr0priate about being qu33r, and kids already know about cishet gender and sexuality.
@@Lisa_Flowers I agree with you that there's nothing wrong with teaching kids gay people exist. I remember getting a homophobic ad on one of YOUR VIDEOS, then the next video I watched had a buzzfeed type quiz thing saying “Are You Gay? Take this quiz to find out!” So clearly, my advertisement spy team is failing miserably.
@@Kai_The_Kai I'm exactly as you are: AFAB, genderfluid, even changed my sex to "X" on my birth certificate and license as it is recognized in New York. I would've absolutely cracked up if I got an estrogen ad, especially when I'm already technically on it as I take birth control every day so I can skip my periods for months. If I had gotten a transphobic one though, I would've been so angry. I'm honestly glad I pay for premium because I'd be giving up on this site if I had to watch ads.
This ad is like one of those weird fever dreams you have where you're not _fully_ asleep so you get little bits of dream-brain nonsense mixed in with the sensation that you're drowning in blankets.
2 theories I have on the editing: 1. They are so ordinary they don't know how to use video editing software because (insert gender norm of the 1950s US here) 2. They hired an outside editor who was so confused and wanted to undermine the project, but also needed to get paid Either way, I find it hilarious. Just perfectly highlights the state of the US right now
The best part of this is the man’s half tucked shirt, and generally unkempt appearance. It really sets the quality standard for this “advert” Also, SpaceX isn’t a government run program, NASA just has a contract with them, so the whole “the government is doing this amazing thing, and we’re following in their footsteps!” Stuff is bonkers.
Why do I feel like this "movement" literally just consists of this man and a few of his family members who meet every week in his basement to crap on LGBT people. Like this can't be real its so bad
This is what baffles me the most about homophobes: how can you hate something and at the same time want to talk about it constantly? I have literally never met someone talking about gay sex more than homophobic people. Not even gays.
Maybe they just want to make their family great again by spending time together. Unfortunately, they only thing they have in common is hating on lgbt people.
The main problem with this is that the assume that people have "default settings" and anything that deviates from that is wrong. The default settings being white cis straight and male. Women are barely tolerated, but they need them so 🤷
It's especially ironic as female would be the "default" sex if there was such a thing. The infamous y chromosome is just a messed up x chromosome. You can only tell the sex of a fetus later on in the pregnancy because all fetuses start to develop as female but some deviate and become male. It's why the world population is approximately 51% female.
@@issakelly8071 Well, it is a bit more complicated than that, to be fair. For one thing, there are more than one gene marker for sex. That's how some children are born as a boy while having XX chromosomes. Sometimes a gene for male sex gets attached to an X chromosome. Some XY children have androgen insensitivity syndrome, which means they never develop a male body. So, considering how complex the whole thing is, it is fully possible that transgender is a form of intersex. Just one we haven't grasped yet. Especially since the brain and the reproductive organs have different developmental stages.
And then the "horror" is just these clowns desperately running from gay family members who are trying to help them understand and accept them as they are. Then they, the homophobes, die bitter and alone because they were garbage to their loved ones. ~fin~
So, the transgender bathroom thing: My school did what I think he's referring to. The trans and nonbinary communities at my school campaigned to get unisex bathrooms in every building on campus, so that people who feel awkward about using the normal public bathrooms, either because of dysphoria or worries about bullying, can just use a generic bathroom.
That’s awesome! I have an enby friend in my school who feels really uncomfortable using either men’s or women’s bathrooms, so I hope my school does this too. I’m in India though so probably not happening anytime soon :(
When I was young in my area (in Italy) there were lots of unisex bathrooms especially in places with children around so that both parents could take their kids to the bathroom no matter what their gender was... And now that they are associated with non-binary people they are getting removed. Because people are panicking that they have created something more useful than what they originally thought. It would be insanely funny if it wasn't sad.
I have no doubt they were sincerely trying to be anti-lgbtq+, but for a moment, I thought they were making a parody of homophobes. A deeply confusing performance, and I don't feel that threatened by them. Was this something the man talking came up with on his own, and asked his family to come with him to perform? This is in my top 10 dumbest things I've ever watched now.
Modern satire suffers a very distinct problem: the difference between satire and sincerity is very blurry and thin, it's easily crossed, and unless you reinforce the line, the worst people will assume you're on their side when you're supposedly mocking them.
"Why does it sound like a bunch of Cis Straight White People trying to sound oppressed?" BECAUSE IT IS. It is a WHOLE thing with this type. This is a KEY example of Christofascism/Christian Nationalism. A giant persecution complex is a huge part of evangelical culture. Being persecuted for your beliefs is validation that you are correct. As a result, they NEED to see oppression because it's not there, and they can't acknowledge oppression of people that are not them. That oppression is just them getting what they deserve for not following God's will. This is absolutely 100% real, and there are a not insignificant number of people in US government who fully believe this (Sam Alito being the most recent obvious example), and it is TERRIFYING.
I don't understand why people think being Christian means they have to hate all LGBTQ+ people, or that LGBTQ+ people can't be Christian. You would think that rejecting people because of the way they were made by God goes against their faith. Plus, the part in the Bible that basically says "Gay people are bad" was added in the 1950s, so it isn't even in the original version. Leaving little words like "of" out of acronyms is actual quite common. For example, the AARP is American Association of Retired Persons. THAT however is the ONLY thing about this that I can defend in ANY way!!!!!!!!!! (By the way, you keep leaving out "normal" when you quote it. HaHaHa Sorry, the irony of it just amused me.) Love your videos! Oh, and I think he is confusing "associate" with "assemble". The first amendment includes "the right of the people to peacefully assemble."
The thing is usually when speaking out the name the 'of' is used, it is only missing from the acronym, so the name of the group is "American Association *of* Retired Persons" and the acronym is AARP, but they were leaving out the *of* in the spoken out version of their name. So really none of this is defensible.
I was a bit thrown by his "right to dissassociate from drag queens". Like, just don't go where they're performing? Oh, I get he's referring to drag queen story time and such, but really if the kids can't handle the occasional unconventional person without being traumatised for life they need to get outside more. And I don't think a "right to disassociate" is a thing.
I think Jammi was referring to when they chanted it at 5:10 they left out saying "of," I don't think he was referring to leaving out the "O" in the actual acronym. Acronyms don't usually contain "of" or "the" (or the like) But when you say what the acronym stands for then you do include them and I think that's what he was referring to.
I'm laughing cause if I saw this from afar in June I would totally think it's a cute little pride rally, their umbrellas would be really adorable if they weren't homophobic

Wouldn't that imply that all non cishet white males are too uninformed to switch to another option? Quite ironic for them.
It's especially ironic as female would be the "default" sex if there was such a thing. The infamous y chromosome is just a messed up x chromosome. Some XY children have androgen insensitivity syndrome, which means they never develop a male body. @@solarcupid2583 I’m an atheist so maybe I’m misremembering things, but isn’t a part of the Easter section of the Bible about how one of the Disciples (John or Peter I think?) would disavow any connection to Jesus (something like he’d do it three times before the cock crowed the next morning? Implicitly to save his own skin when Jesus got arrested), and that Jesus knew ahead of time he’d do so and told him that it was okay? Sounds like Jesus himself was essentially saying that it’s okay to lie about being one of his followers to save yourself so long as you remain true in your heart/afterwards.
The guy on the right kept giving me "the 2 other people in the front are my parents and they dragged me out here to do this because I still live with them" vibes.
"Do you have top radical homosexual outspoken radicals in your government?"
This sentence cracked me up
LMNOP against TRHOR
That sentence feels like when put waayyy too much cereal in your bowl so it doesn't mix well with the milk.
Do you have top radical homosexual outspoken radicals in your government?
Would you like to?
Elect me.
No, they are bottoms.
10:52 I just have to mark this moment. Anytime internalised homophobia pops up I can watch this and feel so much better. Cause at least I’m not like this 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭😭
I love that he had to look at his script to remember the acronym.
*looks at paper “give me an L”
*looks at paper “give me an M”
*looks at paper “give me an N”
🤦♀️
Which is funny, as it’s part of the alphabet
Yeah, the entire time I'm sitting here thinking "Bro, you literally made it a series of letters from the alphabet in order, how tf do you not remember it? Did you never hear of this group before making this? Did you even so much as read the script before recording it?"
Also the reading of LGBTQ+ at the beginning. There's no way they had read that acronym more than once before.
My 'favourite' part of that is imagining that the reason they had to edit the responses in afterwards was because none of the people with him had bits of paper to remind them, so they all just stood there in an awkward, terminal silence.
@@sociallyineptsnapper Dude never remembered the alphabet.
I just got the worst transphobic advert before this video that was saying that cis girl’s privacy was being violated because fans girls want to change in their correct locker room. I went and reported it. I’m so done with these!
Hi Jammi, I've been a follower for a while now, and I don't usually make comments, but l've been trying to do so more often, and I just wanted to say that these types of videos always make me feel better, just hearing you break down these people's arguments so logically makes me feel more confident in my own identity
Couldn’t have said it better
Your identity is valid
@@EmotionalSupportGuy eww no. There are only 2 valid genders.
I like to think that only the announcer is actually on board with this and the other four people are just there for laughs
Spend half the video laughing at the "l mn op" chant. This whole thing feels like a middle school video project where no one knows what they're doing.
It genuinely feels like those video assignments we had to make in English. In middle school
That’s exactly what this feels like
Yes!!! It’s SO bizarre. A teacher would give them a passing grade out of pity.
You can tell they worked backward from this. I feel like this idea came from a tweet and that's all they had to go off of
The purple, gray, and white being right next to each other at 2:27 made my asexual self so happy
I feel like what they wanted to say is: "we want to be legally homophobic please, we cannot sing, we cannot draw, but we would like to waste our time, so join us (we currently have like 5 people)?" hahahahaha
You cannot convince me that those five people aren’t literally just his family that he roped into this.
@@Tustin2121 lol that might indeed be the case!!! They are just entertaining their crazy old grandpa hahaha
Oh Jamie, so sweet, so innocent. You're forgetting that this video was made in and for the U.S. No level of horror and discrimination is impossible in the U.S. That's what makes it such a wonderful place for bigots, zealots, and criminals! ...in all seriousness, though, get me the hell out of here.
And please take me with you!
Try and remember that not every state here is the same.
@@DanaTheInsane Alabama.. Texas.. Mississippi.. the list goes on
"We have the right to dissociate!"
This advertisement is making me dissociate...
Early, too, but everytime I see someone posting a video about trans- or homophobia I doubt if I really want to watch this and trigger myself... Jammi's positivity helps alot.
same
same i was kinda worried watching this might make me feel bad but with this one i just couldn't stop laughing
Yeah, the really nasty ads make me go into full mama-bear mode, but this was just ridiculous. And Jamie's wholesomeness helps, too.
The only similarity to a space is that no one can hear them screaming
I wish I hadn't heard him...
Or their screaming
Or the vast amount of nothing in their heads LMAO
What really has me chuckling is that my husband & I use "LMNOP" as code for going to the toilet. As in, "I'll be right back. I gotta LMNOP." Apropos, I must say... 😂🤣
"Did they just try to hypnotize me with a spinning rainbow wheel?" Jamie 2022
This ad feels like the homophobic equivalent of walking into a room and forgetting what you were going to do
Anyone else get the impression that the people were paid like 5 to 10 quid to do that so they were like 'sure I'll do it but I'm not putting much effort in' ?
"They're fighting over the month of June like it's a toy" This!!
7:22 Illiteracy check: The 1st amendment says nothing about association. If these people love the constitution so much, they should actually read it.
I just sat through the entire ad waiting for them to list at least one thing they were trying to accomplish on the last day of june and I never found out what their goals actually were other than to "make the family great again" with no examples of what that means at all
I would love to see a bunch of LGBT people get those kits and alter the materials to make them SUPER gay. Fun craft project AND they spend money. Win win!
Honestly, I had the same thought. If Jamie can get his hands on one of those kits, it'd be funny to make a video laughing at how bad they probably are, and then either do an LGBT friendly art project with it or destroy it.
Will get on that rn-
Like "Make The Family Gay Again! 👭👬🧑🤝🧑"
10:10 Bruh... I grew up BAPTIST and am still a practicing Christian. I have NEVER heard of any laws passing (or really even being proposed) that in any significant way restricts the practicing of ANY Christian religion. The closest thing I can think of is a worry, back in the mid-to-late aughts I believe, about pastors going to jail for not being willing to marry same-sex couples.
Something, by the way, I don't think I've ever heard of actually happening.
I know we look at the book of Acts and get this weird oppression fetish but AMERICAN CHRISTIANS ARE NOT OPPRESSED!!!!
Hey Jamie! Thought I could give you some of my own good news among all this... sheneganry. I got accepted into the gender queer housing community for the uni I'm going to in the fall! I'm really excited cause I've only recently been getting into the queer community in my area, and I'm looking to get involved, and you've given me a lot of confidence in that! Anyways, much love, bye!
That's so cool kiddo! Well done.
"Let us know what you're doing to make the LMNOP your movement."
...Normalizing human diversity without judgement and irrational fear. Do I get to join your club now?
You can't join unless you're ready to push for a Christian theocratic dictatorship.
Besides, they never said LMNOP were not LGBTQIA+. They acknowledge that queer people are mainstream, normal, and ordinary too!
Irrational fear? I've never feared you nor known anyone else who does.
Judgment? Even you would look in a basket of apples and throw out the rotten one.
That's judgment, I suppose.
But why?
I guarantee you no one would throw that rotten apple out simply to hurt the apple.
It would be to preserve the rest of the apples which are not yet rotten. And also due to humanity's natural disgust of decay.
The difference between the rotten apple and y'all?
The apple didn't choose its own rottenness.
Y'all did.
That drag queen reference was a drag artist called xochi mochi who read to some little kids and some people lost their heads about it, but also some people thought it was great :) Xochi mochi looked amazing too! Thanks for the vid ❤
This feels like the dad got a "great" idea, the mom is reluctant to tag along (aka keeps looking at him like he's lost his mind), and the three kids want to be anywhere but there and have tried their hardest to stay out of sight😂
You skipped the best part, where they had someone dress up as Marjorie Taylor Greene cosplaying Wonder Woman, and staged a mock fight where she punched out an "Antifa" demonstrator. Imagine how low their bar must be, to treat the dumbest member of Congress as a superhero. Nobody tell them that Wonder Woman is canonically bi.
LMNOP would be the old and evil version of the Teen Titans
Well bcs you people keep pushing stupid woke shit to superhero comics. She is supposed to be straight
And was created by the polyamorous man (William Marston), & his 2 bi/pan wives (Elizabeth Marston & Olivia Byrne), who invented the lie detector test. Olivia Byrne's mother & aunt helped open the first birth control clinic in the United States, which they were arrested for.
"The right to disassociate" yeah I think they're dissociating from reality
and for those who say they'd join for a button, try to hold out for an enamel pin!
Ooohhh! Enamel pin!
I'm waiting for the tshirts
This feels like the long lost sequel to Plumbers Don't Wear Ties: the terrible audio, the random cuts between full motion and static images, the crappy acting, an old man screaming at you about stuff that doesn't make any sense, etc. It's uncanny!
5:52 According to TH-cam captions, they’re saying “what do we want make the family cry”, which sounds more accurate
Dude in the video left the N out of his initialism tho XD
@@barrylangille3523 The whole traumatising thing is such bs. With that same logic kids should explode upon seeing someone of a different race...
I think Jammi was referring to when they chanted it at 5:10 they left out saying "of," I don't think he was referring to leaving out the "O" in the actual acronym. Acronyms don't usually contain "of" or "the" (or the like) But when you say what the acronym stands for then you do include them and I think that's what he was referring to.
the people with their faces covered by the umbrellas are probably glad their faces weren't in this lmao
Lesbian
Monosexual
Nonbinary
Omnisexual
Pansexual
*GENIUS*
yessss
That’s an LMNOP movement that I would supports
Love it 😁😁😁😁
I'm laughing cause if I saw this from afar in June I would totally think it's a cute little pride rally, their umbrellas would be really adorable if they weren't homophobic
They aren't afraid of gay people. Not one time did they say they fear them.
