I'm a french horn player but I never knew how good some people actually are. This makes me SO happy. Also I showed this to my band director and he said "wow. well you better step up your game" so yeah, well I guess I should probably go practice. XD

Man this makes me miss playing french horn. I forgot what I was missing out on. I haven't done any french horn work in almost two years because of the number of surgeries I've had in the last little while and the constant recovery process means I can't pick up my instrument. I didn't realize how big of a part of me it was. You are very skilled sir, I am just overcome with so much emotion when I listen to you play.

I listened to this a couple years ago, this was what convinced me to play the f horn. Those high notes sound so effortless and beautiful! Hopefully I’ll be able to play something like this one day.

Idk if anyone else feels this way. I wasn’t looking at the screen, the hunchback of Notre Dame came on. Idk the song well but I was like “oh, hunchback of Notre Dame?” And got it right. When something just fits so well and sounds so beautiful, it’s like I hear lyrics and automatically know what song it is

How do you make the sounds? Do you record yourself playing all of the tracks? Or does a songwriting program have playback this good? Because it doesn't sound computer generated.
I recorded all of the parts one by one ;)

What about the extra percussion parts? What do you use? What music notation software do you use? Do you just sore it all out, then mute the horn parts and play along to the percussion? The percussion pars sound great that's why i'm asking.@@Marc_Papeghin
@@joshcool9427 The percussion parts are the last things that I add, once all of the horns are recorded. I either play them on the keyboard or program them in MIDI. And my notation software is Sibelius ;)

I’ve been off the horn for a little over a month now because of getting my wisdom teeth out and then getting an infection from trying to pick up the horn again too early. TH-cam recommendations are really trying to make me jealous today
