Well that aside, It's the best version of "Unravel". TK is a god in the shell of Human. The way he sangs, makes you feel all the sadness, frustration, regret and hate towards oneself, especially this version is out of the world. The lyrics were inspired by the Manga and it was Godly executed and sung by TK(The God Himself).
The lyrics were written by TK, he writes, composes and arranges all his music and that of his band. Sui Ishida wrote “sainou (Sui side)” for the Sainou album. I personally prefer the TK side of this song.
TK is my favorite singer, not only for his voice, his compositions are incredible and always transmit emotions that make you feel what you want, when I saw Tokyo Ghoul I was fascinated with how excellent this song was with the series, you should see it, too listen to the other songs of TK, they are all very good. :)

Nick, I truly believe that if you watch A Silent Voice you will place it in your top 5 anime of all time. There is two versions of this song the opening and the acoustic version. The acoustic version was in the anime too at the and of the second season. The first take has the same vibe as the acoustic version.
I recently knew that this guy also sang Tagatame from my hero academia season 7, that song made me cry for it's greatness, and I was shocked when I knew he sang Unravel, because long ago I heard Unravel but didn't watch Tokyo Goul, I just heard it's song and it really took my liking, but now I new it was him, I really am happy

This might be slightly off-topic but I recommend reading Tokyo Ghoul manga (which I recently finished reading) It's been an incredible journey, the manga is leagues above the anime for sure. Plus, the author's art (Sui Ishida) is one of the most unbelievable I've ever seen: clean and grotesque at the same time. Some panels are stuck into my mind and I'm convinced they'll be forever.

Tbh when he opens up the song in the first take his voice sounds so comical to me that when i first heard it i was like there is a reason why people laugh at him , BUT, as the song progresses I realized what a great song this is. It takes some time getting used to but this song is soo worth it.
I've heard literally every music cover to acoustic, either by the artist or other. But honestly when the first take of unravel drop on YT I'm quite confuse for second there, never in my life I could think metal music could be something beautiful like that. It's might be me being ignorance of what music is but to music that originally so aggressive and powerful become so calm and angelic like that is out of this world imo.
