Hi. Had my Classika for about 2 months and the steaming was giving me issues. I removed the steam tip and found small pieces of plastic in the tip. I am amusing the gasket blew. So i don't believe it is from wear because the machine is fairly new but either tightening the knob too much or which I am sure I didn't do turn off the machine in steam mode with it it still pressurized. Going to call for replacement gasket of course. What's your opinion.

You are right. He should not be comparing a sprung valve in a joystick with a compression valve in a knob. Compare to a sprung valve in a knob! That accounts for the difference in wear which he incorrectly attributes to the knob.

I am using a joystick machine at the moment. If I had to do it again, I might go for a spring loaded rotary valve.
