Great work guys. I love my v slim so much. My wife is jealous because it gets more love and attention than her. I also suggest removing the shower screen and cleaning behind it occasionally.
A1 indeed a big help in what to do a clean machine is a Healthy Machine indeed for what we pay for these Luxury items well worth to keep them in Tip Top Order cheers from Phil in Australia.
The backflush detergent also dissolves the internal parts lubricant and you can actually hear the squeaky lever. In order to keep things cleaner and minimise backflush routine cycles I would recommend an over the puck aeropress filter or a metal mesh filter. That would virtually keep the shower screen almost spotless
Generally the squeak will resolve itself after a few shots as the coffee oils actually serve as lubrication for the lever, however if this is not the case, is can be disassembled and manually lubricated. Your tip is also a good one to keep things cleaner in there! AJ
Great video. What worked for me was after finishing back flushing, pull one shot and toss it out. I've noticed your shot will have a little bit of that taste from the cleaner. Also I'm confused how on cleaning the steam wand, how does the water make its way into the wand when you have it on and it's pushing steam out? Lastly a descaling updated video would be really awesome.
Hey vik, Thanks for the comment. Some will pull a shot and toss after backflushing to assure all the cleaner is gone. A bit of water in the wand is normal. When steam cools it condenses into water. Here's a video on how to descale machines with heat exchange boilers: th-cam.com/video/yEGfyJkWSqU/w-d-xo.html
Hi p, How to turn pre-infusion and eco modes on/off is covered starting on page 32 of this manual: www.ecm.de/fileadmin/user_upload/BA_MV-VI-Slim-web-2023-06.pdf Hope that helps! Marc
Thanks for the video! I have this exact machine and love it. I couldn't find any instructions in the manual on descaling which makes me think it's not recommended for this unit? I use the penguin water pitcher, along with a bwt drop in filter. Should I still descale this every 3 months? There's so much conflicting information on this topic which makes me lean towards following the manufacture's recommendation (which I assume is not to descale since it's not anywhere in the manual)? Thanks in advance!
Nice video guys! I was wondering if squeaky level during backflush is normal. Thanks for very clear information. I’ve a question, is normal to get a little water drips from the steam wand? I’m so careful to not tighten the knob to much but I make sure that is closed. But usually there are drips from the wand. I can’t place it out the drip tray. Thanks
Hi Francisco, yes the squeaky lever after backflushing is normal and usually resolves itself after pulling a few shots. As for the steam wand, a couple drips is normal due to condensation in the pipe, especially as things are heating up. If it doesn't subside after a few minutes of non-use, it could be a gasket or o-ring in the wand/tip that needs replacement. I wouldn't be too concerned about tightening the knob as long as you're not REALLY cranking down on it. A good test to see if it's actually leaking - close the steam valve and hit the pump switch. If no water comes out of the wand, you're good. AJ

Yes, good idea! We actually just covered this process in a video yesterday: th-cam.com/video/ygejEtTan90/w-d-xo.html
