Wow...could Maks have held Meryl any tighter?!?! But they look so good together and I hope they win in the finale. They have been one of the top couples all season long. Hopefully, Maks will get his first win!!

Maks "Presley" said the interviewer! LOL! It's quite an honor to pay homage to Elvis and to step into those "dancing shoes", is a privilege for Maks. The pressure was definitely on him to play Elvis as best as he did, and he was absolutely incredible/excellent/perfect, which is one of Maks' greatest moments this year.
I'm surprised the interviewer didn't call him "Rock", cause Maks was dressed in the Rock Hudson clothing from the film "Giant" during the interview after the show. In any event, he played two of the greatest 'giants' in one night. Love it when they come out of the studio and still dressed in costume.
Meryl & Maks were so fun to watch, and like Bruno said, it was like a chapter or book of stories and not knowing who they would be in the following week.
So happy that they won in the end. Outstanding dancing and the chemistry between them was HOT!
I've been hunting the Maks and Meryl AfterBuzz for week 9 for the past 2 days. Awww, I'm blown away by these two. Caught DWTS for the first couple of seasons and then gradually lost interest. These two represent the only reason I've been glued to this show (their performances) for the past few weeks. It's weird how emotionally vested I am in this couple. If some network were smart, it'd snap them up to headline their own variety show with guest dancers and new talent on a pure entertainment basis, without this pseudo-contest silliness. I would definitely watch and DVR those shows like I am right now for Maks' and Meryl's performances! Or if they took it on the road...front row seats for me.
Jackie Quinn Anyways, these 2 you know are dating eachother. They hold eachother like a couple, they finish eachothers sentences, & are so flipin darling to look at! They had me first week! I've been smitten by them!! And not to mention Meryl has changed Max & in turn, he has brought her out of her shyness. I love them! And yes they will win! Woot Woot! :)
From what I've heard about Maks, he's ALWAYS very affectionate towards his partners. So I can't say that they are dating.
2 great dances. nice to see the guest judge who is a real pro give them accolades. And Max you really did a great job of the Elvis routine....even looked a bit like him. loved it. Hope M&M win it all but I think Amy will win because when she sits on the table and the stool and gets 10's for doing no dancing for 3/4 of the routine and when others would be crucified for it, that in itself is telling. Hope everyone votes for M&M.

Jackie Quinn, I agree, I was so happy that Kenny Ortega acknowledged their Rumba last week & their 2 dances this wk were amazing!
***** That's right, Joyce - I have a whole lot of respect for Kenny Ortega, he is big in the dance world and when he made the remark about their Rumba...I did that stupid thing that people do......I yelled at my TV screen "YEAH, that's right, Kenny, you tell them!!! That was a kick ass Rumba". All my dogs looked at me like I was "barking mad"

Maks and Val have always been very affectionate with their partners, but never overly inappropriate, Maks is touching her all over the place and it hardly phases her
Heck, half the time, she's moving his hands to further encircle her! So those who say he's the 'handsy' one, I say, open your eyes and watch her take his hand from her shoulder and wrap it across her collarbone or take his hands on her hips and wrap them around her waist. Then they sway together.
It's cute as heck.
Whatever 'it is' they have, it's certainly not something faked up. Even if someone would believe that of Maks, Meryl certainly wouldn't do such a thing. She's also always answered honestly when asked if she's dating Charlie, for example. "NO, definitely not" When she did have a previous bf, she said she was seeing someone and refused to disclose further information. When asked about Maks...she now temporizes and says they're 'good friends' [My husband is a 'good friend', btw] and that they 'clicked' early on, and built an 'amazing relationship'... All terms undefined. After the season, I'm looking for an intrepid reporter to ask her to define the terms!
Sweety maks has touched his partners inappropriately. Remeber brandy, he was always touching her ass even in the backstage interviews.

If you seen the interview with Meryl and Val there is a space between them, in the interviews between Meryl and Maks where is the space between?
coming from someone who is usually annoyed when people ship stars with their professional partners, they need to get together.
I would support it if I thought it was real. I feel like its for show. A real romance u wouldnt have to try so hard, it will just happen like mark and sabrina, they didnt try to hard to prove to people they liked each other but we still felt like something was there and it really was. To me maks and meryl are trying to hard and that is what makes it fake, just like val and kelly. Even val admitted that he will never go that route again and he hasnt.
@@vdw-ox7rb some might put it on but I don't think it was fake BECAUSE this was a very special way that Maks could dance to a VERY HIGH level without having to push her. Someone matching you at that level of excellence, and them having so much enjoyment being at that same caliber has a joy built in all on its own. Maks never had THAT with a DWTS partner. He's a very touching, swaying kind of guy anyhow, but I think he was very smitten...and she with him too with genuine affection for each other. Good looking people, doing what they love, in close proximity with someone you like as a person, I mean...how would you NOT feel that way in all honesty! AND people on both sides who know each of them acknowledge how MUCH they've positively changed and enhanced each other to grow. That's an amazing experience to have with and from someone! It doesn't matter that they didn't remain as a couple (for whatever reason only they know). It was a very special experience for both of them!

Maks is not too Eastern European to carry off Elvis. I like Mark Ballas, but his Elvis Presley was better than Mark's. In fact, wherever you can line them up dance for dance, M&M are superior as a pair. Waltz, Foxtrot, Samba, Jive - name it. No comparison.

Jackie Quinn Hey girl! It is as if I had a twin! You said everything I have said for weeks! Lol Last week M & M got screwed over by the dumb ass Dance mom judge Abby.. She was ridik! She gave James 10's cause she was crushing on him, & all while trying to judge adults. Let's be real, she doesnt know crap about dancing & should just stay judging little kids! I was pissds that Amy got 10's for sitting on a chair.. umn Danika was injured too & she didn't take the easy way out & one of the judges commended her for continuing on like they did with Amy. They forget that they are suppost to judge the celebrity not the proffesional! They did that same mistake again this week with Amy sitting on a table! Yeah Derek is good, but Amy should have been gone along time ago! Total bull shut!

What do you make of the goings on in L.A. this past week? Tumblr has quite a bit of info and pictures of M&M and they would seem to indicate a real romance? They were together at the premiere of DWTS on Monday. The M&M shippers are delirious with joy.
Carol W. First off I want to say that Meryl looked AMAZING at the premier, I mean WOW!!. I also think that if they are a pair then good for them, two single people exploring the possibilities, why not. The pictures of them at the show and the candid shot from behind seems to indicate a deeper connection, but that's just my thought. I wish they were on this season as it feels a little lackluster for me it's missing something.

I agree with you Valerie. I think Maks is exploiting the showmance angle. But I do think that she has fallen for him. I don't agree that they are like brother and sister, siblings don't behave the way they do, come on Tom. I hope I am wrong, but he will use anything to garner attention and votes. I hope Meryl does not get her heart broken, but with his track record with women it is sure possible. He is using her.
