Interesting how Maks and Meryl want to "weasel out" of the relationship question. If they were "just friends" wouldn't they'd just say so!?. I know there's an age difference etc, but there was undeniable chemistry when they danced, and she certainly brought out the best in Maks over all. I am certain that no matter what, they have forged a bond that will last.
The amount of hook-ups is so much less than what they portray during the season. Kelly & Val for example. Kelly's boyfriend was at the shows. And they are still together. So the Kelly & Val thing was a showmance. I'm sure a lot of acting goes into the dances. And letting people believe what they want to get more votes is just smart. And with that, I hope Maks and Meryl end up together. LOL
But then you would stop talking about them. Personally, I believe Maks when he finally said they are just close friends. He is really into the looks of a woman, into the glam of it all, and Meryl just ain't it. Meryl isn't ugly, just not as glam as girls he has dated before. Maks was engaged to Karina, dated Peta, Cheryl Burke, Erin Andrews, Kate Upton, etc., etc., all glam girls. I never saw anything romantic between them, just good dancing and chemistry. I really don't think there is anything to see here at all, even though I have to admit I would have liked for them to be a couple.
