Just breathtaking....Arg. tango is so steamy,,,,Maks favourite dance...you can tell he loves it...such difficult tricks and lifts...he is so powerful yet so gentle with her. Perfection and true artistry.

My first thoughts were not even something I could put into words - amazing, flawless. She seemed to almost float in the air when he lifted her, like she was defying gravity. These two are a match made in Heaven on the dance floor and I feel privileged to have witnessed their magic.
Maks and Meryl make everything appear so effortless.......like she is floating! I LOVE Maks, however, it is almost like he disappears in the background and all you can see is Meryl floating effortlessly! They are so beautiful! America......get it right! Meryl and Maks WILL WIN tonight!!
I agree with you. I can't keep my eyes off of Meryl!!! Maks knows how exquisite she is, and he just pretty much showcases her beauty and doesn't try to get attention with any flashy moves for himself. It's very unselfish of him, considering how full of himself he usually is.

This season (20) has got to be the absolute worst, with him insisting that he has to at least be literally sitting in on the dances between Sash and Nastia after injuring his foot. And I agree with you and with Bruno: I absolutely love how Maks has choreographed the dances so that they are telling a story. I think he found his muse in Meryl.
The smooth elegance of this dance is beautiful. Though I love the staccato moves Val uses, I love the whispery glide of this. Maks is so brilliant in how he guides her moves every step of the way. They are astonishing and gorgeous to watch. Their chemistry with their magic is so organic.... (pure, untouched...Though another word comes to mind:)) CONGRATS to the Best!!!

Terrific dance once again! Argentine Tango by Meryl and Maks. Maks was intent on showing what Meryl could do. The tension was enormous - hoping they would perform flawlessly. I agree, I seldom wish to watch DWS, but this season hooked me from the beginning. You feel the love and respect everyone involved had for each other and majority of the dancing couples were flawless. I taught Ballroom Dancing for 2 years, now I wish I hadn't stop.
My thoughts exactly how Maks was intent on showing Meryl off. He made it about her. But she showcases him, too. She showcases their chemistry, connection and other-worldly synchronization where they dance as one.
This dance demonstrates how in tune they are with the music and themselves. Notice how on every 'tink' of the music beat, they hit perfectly with a movement? It's been that way all year with them.
She is so graceful, with her not only her body but her facial expressions as well. They are so great together! Love love to see them continue on way after show
whats happened here is that Maks finally understands what Meryl can do with her body - and trusts her to pull it off. I think he is challenged because she is able to take flight and I'm not sure how much experience he has with a flyer. I LOVE his choreography since he started exploring the possibilities ...
I've been watching videos of their performances and I must say I LOVE their A. Tango and the freestyle. From what I've been looking @ most viewers love their tango but I'm somewhat partial to their Freestyle. HOPING they win tonight!!!!!
Awesome. Really incredible. The camera men for both of their dances probably carried fire extinguishers just in case. In my opinion, this was way better than Val's. I have said before that his was way too fast, to much of a race to the finish. Not nearly enough time for the depth of desire that is at the core of an A-Tango. it was also really cool how Meryl played the role of the seductress. This was a true passionate A-Tango. M@M deserve to win.
What is it about Maks. Its like he doesn't make any unnecessary movement. I can literally feel how good a leader he is. He is truly beautiful to watch. And the fact that he makes the lady shine is just wow

Uh...I don't think her fanbase stands a ghost of a chance against M&M! If anything...Amy & Derek may have to worry more. Candace better be 3rd place (James should have outlasted her)....she can't hold a candle to the last two. Getting an 8 in last night's freestyle proves that.

Obviously her story is so powerful, but I often forget she is an amputee. She is just that good. In a lot of DWTS seasons, she would be the winner. But what Maks and Meryl are doing has to be one of the greatest performances in the history of the show. What they have created is magic. The level of technique, emotion and characterization is beyond description and just miles and miles ahead of everyone else. I just don't see how anyone could NOT vote for them. I never voted all these years until last night also! Hands down, Meryl and Maks! However, I do not think Amy comes even close. I like her, but Derek took her through much of the routines by having her sit, or by holding her...there was just not sufficient dancing on her part to deserve a win.

For Amy to be the runner up is just way beyond my expectations at the start of the season. She really is talented, along with off the charts inspiring. You watch, she is going to blow up big time. We'll see her everywhere. She has STAR written all over her.
I'm very conflicted when I watch them...they are amazing and breathtaking and obviously flawless yet there's the obvious...she has been trained in choreography her entire life. She and Candacr, for example, are going to be different. Also, she has always worked with a partner and from my years of ice skating you learn rhythm and where to put your head, etc. She also doesn't even say "thank you" to the judges anymore....but....they are undeniably awesome. I love Derek hough but I really would like to see maks get it this time.
Yes the years of skating has taught her discipline,how to be a team player and match her movements to rhythm but the fluidity of movement is different on the floor than the ice. You also count the fact that Meryl has been dancing with a broken toe and is sick right now and STILL gave a 2 SPECTACULAR performances tonight AND is performing on Stars on Ice! This beautiful,graceful,strong, intelligent woman is a true Olympian and showing what that name embodies. She has dyslexia and lack of depth perception in her right eye but despite all that she still medaled at 2 Olympics with Charlie. By the way re-watch all her performances including this one and she has thanked the judges each time. This is a dance competition and THE BEST dancers should win and that's TEAM M&M.
To be fair she's on hold from any other skating commitments and has talked openly about her right eye being corrected. And finally, she did not thank the judges after her tank tonight...But I agree with all you said otherwise and I hope they win:)

The music lacks romance (in my honest opinion); but the facial expressions, the dance movements and the story telling were so full of feelings and romance I believe that they have compensated for the music.
If maks doesn't win tonight he never will.meryl and maks showed magic throught,i don't think there is any debate who the winners are.if they don't use sympathy the correct ones will win.
DWTS, you lie! This isn't 'the best'. It's 360- craptastic quality and the sound is off. Please either do it right or let others keep up their HD versions. ETA: If you put up high quality from the start, people wouldn't feel compelled to upload their true HD versions.
I hate to be the one downer here. I loved the dance, it was sheer theatrics, but it was not a technically fully executed Argentine Tango. There was a lot of dragging, hip turning and lifts, but not enough leg flicks and they certainly could have been closer in some of the holds. I hope they win (and date), I really do, but this should not have been a perfect score. BYW, I think Maks is terrific in his personal life with what he does for low income kids and dancing.
Yes she deserved it but hey don't be rude and cruel and say that Candace didn't work her butt off . I felt like she was a winner too because of the effort she put and the dances she did looked amazing and she looked like a professional too . The show is called "dancing with the stArs" not "dancing with stars that can really dance". So of course the celebs that they'll get in probably won't be experienced but for Candace to look good . I credit her . Meryl wAs good and I'm not tAking that away it's just she has experience in moving her body already thAts why she won. This show is suppose to be entertaining and you need to be shocked with people you leAst expect it from . That's why I love cAndAce
No one can argue that Meryl wasn't a dancer before this. lol As a M&M fan, they did shock me with their emotion, passion, intensity. They wouldn't have won without it IMO. Candace was a breathe of fresh air, Amy an inspiration, while Meryl it finding her passionate side. Congrats to them all!

For Amy to be the runner up is just way beyond my expectations at the start of the season. She really is talented, along with off the charts inspiring. You watch, she is going to blow up big time. We'll see her everywhere. She has STAR written all over her.

I'm very conflicted when I watch them...they are amazing and breathtaking and obviously flawless yet there's the obvious...she has been trained in choreography her entire life. She and Candacr, for example, are going to be different. Also, she has always worked with a partner and from my years of ice skating you learn rhythm and where to put your head, etc. She also doesn't even say "thank you" to the judges anymore....but....they are undeniably awesome. I love Derek hough but I really would like to see maks get it this time.
Yes the years of skating has taught her discipline,how to be a team player and match her movements to rhythm but the fluidity of movement is different on the floor than the ice. You also count the fact that Meryl has been dancing with a broken toe and is sick right now and STILL gave a 2 SPECTACULAR performances tonight AND is performing on Stars on Ice! This beautiful,graceful,strong, intelligent woman is a true Olympian and showing what that name embodies. She has dyslexia and lack of depth perception in her right eye but despite all that she still medaled at 2 Olympics with Charlie. By the way re-watch all her performances including this one and she has thanked the judges each time. This is a dance competition and THE BEST dancers should win and that's TEAM M&M.
To be fair she's on hold from any other skating commitments and has talked openly about her right eye being corrected. And finally, she did not thank the judges after her tank tonight...But I agree with all you said otherwise and I hope they win:)

Tom shouldn't guess at the scores they get, the surprise element of the scores should be part of the competition. He does that a lot, I noticed.
The music lacks romance (in my honest opinion); but the facial expressions, the dance movements and the story telling were so full of feelings and romance I believe that they have compensated for the music.
If maks doesn't win tonight he never will.meryl and maks showed magic throught,i don't think there is any debate who the winners are.if they don't use sympathy the correct ones will win.
DWTS, you lie! This isn't 'the best'. It's 360- craptastic quality and the sound is off. Please either do it right or let others keep up their HD versions.

I hate to be the one downer here. I loved the dance, it was sheer theatrics, but it was not a technically fully executed Argentine Tango. There was a lot of dragging, hip turning and lifts, but not enough leg flicks and they certainly could have been closer in some of the holds. I hope they win (and date), I really do, but this should not have been a perfect score. BYW, I think Maks is terrific in his personal life with what he does for low income kids and dancing.

Yes she deserved it but hey don't be rude and cruel and say that Candace didn't work her butt off . I felt like she was a winner too because of the effort she put and the dances she did looked amazing and she looked like a professional too . The show is called "dancing with the stArs" not "dancing with stars that can really dance". So of course the celebs that they'll get in probably won't be experienced but for Candace to look good . I credit her . Meryl wAs good and I'm not tAking that away it's just she has experience in moving her body already thAts why she won. This show is suppose to be entertaining and you need to be shocked with people you leAst expect it from . That's why I love cAndAce
No one can argue that Meryl wasn't a dancer before this. lol As a M&M fan, they did shock me with their emotion, passion, intensity. They wouldn't have won without it IMO. Candace was a breathe of fresh air, Amy an inspiration, while Meryl it finding her passionate side. Congrats to them all!
