- Mexico Square area is one of the most populated corridors of Addis Ababa, where numerous businesses and banking and insurance companies are located. I've presented in this video the unusually busy movement of people relaxing near the fountains of Mexico Square on a Saturday evening.

Addis Ababa, founded in 1886, is the capital city of Ethiopia and the business, financial and cultural center of the Country. Ethiopia is often called the origin of humankind due to various hominid fossil discoveries such as the Australopithecine "Lucy". Recent DNA evidence suggested, After analyzing the DNA of almost 1,000 people around the world, that humans originated and spread from around what is now Addis Ababa 100,000 years ago. The fossilized skeleton, and a plaster replica of the early hominid Lucy (known in Ethiopia as Dinkinesh) is one of the numerous preserved hominid skeletons at the Ethiopian National Museum in Addis Ababa.
Addis Ababa has more than enough history and sites to warrant more than just a stopover.
