You are so right! It's hard to put into words how Delius' music makes me feel. At 69, yearning for a simpler time. So nostalgic, brings tears to my eyes. He got this folk tune from a piece by Percy Grainger. They were friends. I saw another video of this work and read the notes.

The most overlooked of British composers...
Drowned out by pathetic and tedious detractors probably stuffed brim full of Mahler and Wagner.
The opening sounds like Debussy but this piece quickly goes on to establish an English country identity. Very lovely, very unusual.
