Dega loud, SU is more balanced. If Dega is looking to say they are louder than SU, so be it. SU is way more polished, arrangements are way more dynamic and diverse, there’s really no comparison in musicianship, only leg Dega has to stand on when battling SU is volume, and SU never gets out of character because Dega may be louder, they continue to do what SU does, play with control. That’s what makes them them for the past 30+ years🤷🏾♂️
C Major Yeah so Degas B-Tones have more volume, yes. The rest of Degas band does not have more volume than SU.
Jermaine Culbreath b-tones are the power of the brass section, that’s where the volume comes from. SU just knows how to blend so every section is heard, that’s where their balance comes from. They could overblow and play without control, but they don’t, that’s why degas euphos will never be able to play the phrases SU euphos play.

I’m an SU fan till the day I die, and I will say that SU got the W. BUT, I’m very surprised with TC. They actually did pretty good this time around. They did get a little tired at the end and i questioned some songs but I must say they did start off strong. Good job to both bands!

If TC got their hands on some higher quality horns that don't go out of tune when played at an extremely high volume, they'd sound a lot better. This is a the main problem with their mellophones...

SU IS THE STANDARD! They are a great measuring stick. TC has great potential to be a real powerhouse, but to beat the greats you have to have the complete package of execution, balance, power, dynamics, technical abilities just to name a few. TC has a long way to go, but it was fun battle to listen to. TC IS blowing though!
