Hurts me that Rhaenyra and Viserys couldn't see how much Daemon loves them and is loyal to them regardless of his anger. I truly believe he adores his queen and will die for her proving his loyalty.
They did not question Daemon's love for them. That was obvious. What they questioned was his loyalty and direction. Daemon loves chaos and discord. He's judge and executioner. He's restless and doesn't play by the rules. Daemon is one of my favorites but it's his unpredictable choices going against all norms that gets him into trouble. He's anti-hero.

@@rachelasf2125 By Rhaenyra's reaction, she was upset because Daemon acted without discussing his plans with her. Daemon did not discuss his plans with her, because he knew she would not agree. As it is, the entire plan backfired and it is a political mess for Rhaenyra. And I agree - Daemon would have killed his brother and niece had he wanted the throne. It would have been easy for him to do so. Matt Smith said that Daemon did not want the throne.
Wish they spoke in high valyrian all the time when alone.

I so believe Daemon is the most misunderstood character in the entire Westeros. He loved Viserys and he loves Rhaenyra and though everything he does is for them (in his own twisted ways) he is always distrusted by them. I myself do not believe Daemon intended to target a child, I believe what he told her and I feel bad that Rhaenyra doesn’t. It broke my heart.
I mean... He did say that to kill a child was better than to kill nothing. Love Is sweet but if he acts like this I wouldn't trust him either. At best he's unreliable.
He absolutely intended for the child to get murdered. He's a child killer, just accept it.

I really like Daemon too, and I believe he loves the people close to him. But he can't be controlled. Daemon does things his way and doesn't give a flying 🤬 about the consequences to his actions. That's a big part of why Rhaenyra and her father couldn't trust him, not completely.

How long will they be able to be separated. They have a very close bond and without that both will go crazy. Daemon wasn't there to protect Rhaenrya.

Daemon and Rhaenyra little bit similar to Hellboy and Liz
I think Rhaenyra deluded herself to be special for Daemon, but he actually took her cause desperately needed to be close to Viserys, he just can't see her as her own persona, that's so messed up and now that she realized that she is disappointed
The reason he sees her as her father is because she takes on many of his worst qualities.
Rhaenyra is special to Daemon but Daemon is a dragon and is restless and chaotic. Even with this separation, Daemon will need her due to their deep bond. He finds out there was an attempt on her life, it's like him to destroy and kill others who are loyal to the Greens. It's his nature.
But do you really like margaritas that much????
Daemon fans are having a hard time coming to terms, that Daemon loves Daemon. Daemon is loyal to Daemon. Daemon literally abuses his wife what after he miscarriages their daughter, undermines her, talks down to her. Is that love? Is that Loyalty?
They will literally do anything to defend him.

Making a joke at the expense if his dead nephew, he's just morning in his own way he doesn't actually mean that!!
Making fun of Otto's dead wife, well Otto sucks so he deserved it!!!
Literally, he could've killed the baby with his own bloody hands and his fans would ride or die for him and say the baby had it coming anyway!

@tiernanrea1726 you forget to mention that the letter is Rhaenerya ordering Daemon's teenage lover, Nettles, to be killed. He sends her away to save her and Caraxes lets out a scream that shatters every window in a tower. Then Daemon decides himself to face certain death by fighting Aemond and Vhagar alone.
Daemon's sooooo loyal to Rhaenerya, sure 🙄
