- In this episode of Cadence Fishing TV, we join our Brand Ambassador Leigh Harrison on the River Trent. Leigh is fishing East Stoke a few pegs down from the famous peg one that has already featured in a previous Cadence Fishing TV episode. In this 40 minute video Leigh shows us how he tackles this mighty water with light tackle and seed baits such as hemp and tares. The peg itself has a history of not only producing silvers but the odd barbel too, and Leigh is faced with a few bonus catches that prove the CR10 14ft Zero is more than a match for bigger fish.

Cracking video Leigh and I do not underestimate the skills used/necessary to get barbel of that size out on that lighter gear. Great effort ❤ really captured the joy of being out stood in the flow surrounded by nature blessed
No better way of fishing at this time of year, imho get your bait prep right at home and a very cost effective way of being at one with nature and the river.👏👏
Wonderful. I used to fish similarly on the BA for mixed bags like this, on the seed. Best method to catch barbel. Much respect shown to that beauty.

Hemp n tare is an art. March wise it is just an arrow in your bow.
It is a pure win on drains and late rivers. If the fish are there.
Most of the lads I know in England who Hemp n tare are good anglers and always feed little.
I always slot over a no 8 shotting up to a gamme
