Another great video! Marc, as much as I’ve enjoyed watching your travels and learning about the places you visit since I discovered your channel, it’s your skill in videography and editing that really blows me away! Seeing what you do with the images you create has inspired me to learn more and practice more, and hopefully make my own channel better. I hope my own videos will be at least close to the quality of yours someday. Thank you so much for setting such a great example!
Miroslav certainly has a point, it's hard to do poorly when the subject matter is so spectacular. Otherwise I don't know what to say, other than thank you for such kind words!
That corner of southwest Utah is just amazing! I looked at heading up there last spring when I was at Beaver Dam Wash NCA. Now I wish I would have.. Next year!
@@GrandAdventure Yep, it is unique for sure. What we need to do is pick a place down there that neither of us has been too and meet up. Finding that place may pose a challenge though. Peace Bro
Marc, of all your Grand Adventures, I have seen them all now, this is by far my favorite. The way you show the Geology of the area and again explain what we are viewing is the best I know of. Thank you again for this channel and all that you have shared. I pray that you will continue to share your Grand Adventures. Thank you again.
Thank you so much Charles! Fret not, we're not going away anywhere. This week will be a "Top 10" video, and we have weekly episodes planned to get us through to camping season. As we're not traveling in winter we'll be shifting to a few how-to videos for the time being.
Beautiful spot. Another great video Grand Adventure. Really like how you mention the "good" sites vs the less desirable ones - We do this all the time when we camp in a new spot. We jot down the best sites in our guide book "just in case we come back"
Awesome thank you. I just love that your videos highlight the area and not what you ate! We missed that place when we were in Zion. Guess we'll have to go back. lol
LOL @ the meal comment, although we'll confess that you may occasionally catch a fleeting glimpse of a dinner plate on our channel. And does anyone truly need a reason to return to southern Utah? ;)
Look like there was not much snow at Snow Canyon. That's good because it is easy to see all of the interesting geology. The lava flows make for a nice contrast with what looks like sedimentary rock. You did a great job of showing the area. One thing I that sounds good about the area is there is the remoteness of camping out on the BLM yet one is only minutes away from all the amenities of St George when desired. Not bad! I enjoyed the video.
My bet is that it was named for some rancher or settler named Snow, rather than the form of precipitation that the canyon sees little of. The geology of that canyon is really, really cool. And there is indeed ample dispersed BLM camping in the area, some of which is featured in our Episode 11. Thanks as always!
Hi Marc, thanks for another great view of the landscape of your beautiful country. I can really understand why U.S. citizen do not travel to other countries. If I do see your footage it says it all. So beautifull. Thank you for sharing. Cheers from Hamburg Volker
Great Film as always. What a beautiful place to stay and visit. Love the Dog Park too. We are a little behind as we have been filming at our local Trailer and RV Show. Thanks as always Phil and Juliet👍
heading out to So Utah next month...usually head to the Red Cliffs area but may try a drive thur for this state park...I did look at the reservation site...wow,...booked mostly solid from now till the end of the ages...haha
Another great video, thx! Utah state parks have the worst dog rules of any we've found... sad because the areas are beautiful and we'd like to stay and hike there but we like our dogs too much to just leave the in the RV the whole time. So we boondock and/or go to other cool places. Keep em coming!
The rules there reminded me of National Park dog rules. Honestly, it may be our home state but we've camped in few Utah State Parks as we're usually boondocking in areas we know so well.
Our family (young children included) loves watching the Grand Adventures videos!! We're a tent camping family from MN & have recently purchased a camper trailer so we can do some exploration with our littles during these strange times. We're embracing "distance learning" this year, and planning a 4-6 week trip to Southern UT in early 2021 so our 4-person family can see this lovely area. We have our sights set on Snow Canyon State Park near St. George, but we really need Wi-Fi so our boys can still participate in their Montessori School program. (They aren't on the computer much, so we should be able to maximize our time outdoors). We'd love to avoid a traditional RV resort, so that our time outside of the camper can be spent immediately hiking, climbing & exploring. Snow Canyon seems to fit that need, but we still need a wi-fi connection. Any thoughts on other RV options in this area that keep us away from the RV Resorts & more connected with the local natural landscape? Cheers to grand adventures!
**Sidenote: We really need to have a site with water & electric as cooking healthy meals for our family (since we are...you know...in a pandemic) is a priority for us.
Apologies for the tardy reply, Jessica -- we just saw this. Congratulations on your recent purchase! And that sounds like a wonderful plan for 2021. Snow Canyon has only spotty cell signal, and it's really rather poor at the campground. To be honest, when we're in Utah we're usually boondocking on public land, so we have next to zero personal experience in campgrounds and RV parks here in our home state. You don't need hookups to cook healthy -- your rig should be self-contained, and you have the propane stove (and possibly oven, depending on your RV) for cooking, and you have 120V appliances while you're using the generator to recharge your batteries anyway. We prepare meals in the RV the exact same way that we do at home. While we can't help much with campgrounds in that area, we're happy to help with boondocking locales if you decide to go that route.
@@GrandAdventure Helpful info, Marc. Thanks so much. Really looking forward to planning this trip & spending time in sunny Utah with our family. I haven't watched all of your videos, but if you haven't had a chance to explore the north shore of Lake Superior in Northern MN yet, it is LOVELY. The summer months are the best (June - October) as the winter gets really cold. Lots of winter activities though if you're brave enough for the adventure. Minnesota is delightful & I can't speak highly enough for our home state! Cheers to you & yours on your outdoor adventures.
@@jessicamartin9942 thank you! We didn't make it the North Shore this year, but we did get to Lake Superior over the past several months at Apostle Islands National Lakeshore (WI) and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, and the Keweenaw Peninsula (both MI). We fell in love with the area! We'll make it back in subsequent seasons with the North Shore in mind.
Beautiful park. Are there other camping options in or near the park? I would not opt for one of those tight spots. Thanks again for sharing another amazing video with us. Great work. I haven't seen anybody do it better than you.
You're making me blush again, Mark! There are no other camping options within the park, but there's the Red Cliffs NCA adjacent to the park with dry campgrounds and boondocking opportunities.
Agree completely. Honestly, I don't think that I could take 1-14. If we're looking into a campground we'll always pull it up on Google Satellite first.
@@GrandAdventure Thank you. We're going to order the 3400W with remote start. We sold our house this week. Closing is April 2nd. Then we hit the road to Full Time RV. Hope we meet up with you along the way. JT & Jo-Ann
@@scenicdriveways6708 congrats, folks! Looking forward to crossing paths. If they had the 3400W model at a decent price when we bought ours we would've opted for that, too, but it had just come out and we found the 3100W for a crazy $595. The remote start is the competition killer in our opinion.

It's a beautiful place, J, and has only a tiny fraction of the visitors compared to nearby Zion.
Beautiful scenery. I love how you can capture so much of the beautiful land with the drone. Amazing!

How far away can you fly your drone? It looks like it is way out there - almost the point of no return.

Technically it has a maximum range of 7 km, or 4.3 mi under optimal conditions. I am always much less than that though.
